yeah I have about a dozen. some are hot rods, but I'll never go dark :) Most of those subreddits are just dangerous to those who treat them as hobbies. Fountain pens, flashlights, guns, knives, cars, Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, and a thousand other things out there to tempt you to buy
I talked to the title person at MD a day or two ago. Apparently I was getting overzealous. No need to go to the DMV to register my vehicle. MD takes care of everything. I just needed to get a vehicle inspection and send a copy of updated insurance showing the truck was insured. They're...
Anyone in Texas have a problem registering their vehicle yet? I got mine a few weeks ago and went to the DMV yesterday. Apparently you are required to bring a copy of the title with you to register, but it takes up to 90 days for the title company (Chrysler Capital no less) to get it. Am I...
i'm using Adam's leather cleaner. The bigger issue is the suede on the sides of the seats. I'm using Sonax alcantara / suede cleaner for it. Light spray on the seats and a leather cleaning brush to gently agitate. Then remove with a microfiber towel.
It's funny too because none of these...
Speaking from a detailing perspective, black is easily the worst color. Very difficult to keep clean, swirl marks show through easily, and minor imperfections are magnified. It’s very pretty when meticulously maintained, but it’s a lot of work to do so
that's a great deal. Consider that any applicable rebates offered by RAM will stack on top of this. Right now that would mean an extra $1000 off and 0% financing.
Honestly most of the DIY kits are similar and as long as you're getting a true coating instead of a spray on and wipe off, you should be fine with any of the major brands. I have used AvalonKing, Carpro Cquartz, and now Adams Graphene advanced. The first two are ceramics, the last graphene...
If you're going to do correction I'd strongly suggest doing a DYI ceramic coating. For reference, the effort required to do paint correction on your truck is 6-8 hours. This includes prep and the correction itself. The ceramic coating is only another couple of hours on top of that.
Forget the truck! I want the Cervelo, perhaps the Felt too! I've got a 2012 Felt AR2 as my daily rider. I almost got an S5, but liked the Felt a bit better. Also those wheels! I'm still riding the OEMs on mine. Beautiful bikes!
a couple of things. First off, when the dealership washed my truck they put a bunch of microscratches in the paint. Second, there were little water spots. Third, even new paint from the factory can use a polishing step - it smooths out the clear coat and increases the glossy look of the...
Picked her up today! Financing got with me around 4:00 PM Friday, took me about 30 minutes to read through and fill out the paperwork. I think I spent about 20 minutes in the dealership (Raining hard) so I didn't get to do a good evaluation until I got home. There were a couple of very minor...
I did the credit check info on Monday. It's now Friday and I haven't heard from MD's finance department, so it could be a little longer than a few days.
Understandable. if you're at the end of time off, then you're certainly in need of getting it done quickly. If I was in a specific rush (other than my impatience!) I'd ask to do something too. There are probably others that have more unique circumstances that require special attention similar...
Thanks for the heads up. I'm not planning to put a down payment on the truck. When I ordered the incentive was 0% for 60 months. Given this environment, I'd rather be borrowing money for free and using free cash to invest. 0% is about as good as it gets, so I'm not going to complain.
I've...
I do a significant amount of detailing myself. I declined the ceramic package from MD because I am going to do the paint correction and coating myself. Chemical Guys snow foam is a perfectly good soap to use and arguably their best product. It is pH neutral so no issues on ceramic coatings...
