Ya know that stuff is gonna break and while it’s never convenient when it happens, it just really sucks that the parts to replace/repair are “no eta-back order”
MGU, steering rack, ABS modules, the list seems to keep growing. I hope Tim K can get this parts thing corrected so we can expect a...
Yup, great information here. Depending on how bad the bearing gets, it may have your truck out of commission. And since it sounds like it can take many months to get the MGU replaced under warranty, this is a great fix to “keep on trucking”
UpNorth Engineer, had you already had this at the...
Excellent write up. Hope I never need the information, but as the eTorque MGU gets older this is gonna be more common to repair a bearing that goes bad.
Where did you get the bearing part number? Parts book or off of the bearing?
Well, that is great news. It would be a big help to the forum if you’d write up a “how to, how I did this” so, I know there are many of us, that would just rebuild it. Too bad dealerships just don’t do it for us.
Plus, list the bearing source/part number and if any special tools were needed...
Hope I don’t jinx myself, but I don’t have to slam my tailgate. Yes I close it firmly, but not having to slam it. It’s been one of my favorite things on my truck.
At least it’s fixed. That’s good. Just amazing how much this stuff can cost to fix. Used to be a clip broke and the linkage fell apart. Replace clip for a buck or two. Sorry showing my age.
I just went to the connect website to see what packages I wasn’t paying for and I could not find anything that would include “trips”
Checked with my ‘22 Ram 1500 and then checked what our new Jeep GC has or could have. Nothing to show trips. I dunno, but it’s odd. I have high end vehicles with...
I know too in the recent years, some of the connected services have been cut back in the trial periods given on new vehicles. I used to get SiriusXM for a year, now it’s 3 months. We just purchased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and I’m gonna check it out to see if we get that package...
Hmm. At the bottom of my Ram App I have —Speed— Curfew— Boundary
Under that there is — Valet
All are turned off
Nothing says —Trips
Is this a package you pay for? I only have the assistance pkg. that I pay for
Curious on where you find these trip recordings. I don’t see where I can view anything in the Ram App? Is it a 2025 thing? The Ram App is what I use to lock/unlock, start/stop, etc. Has mileage, health reports, etc. Is this where you are looking? Thanks Bob F
Only thing I can say is that in the past, you need the silver rails to fasten aftermarket covers. The rails that come with the factory bed cover are unique to the oem cover
Ugh, hate to hear about this. First, I love the multi function tailgate. Second, when I got my ‘22 Longhorn, the first thing I didn’t like was it’s electrically actuated. Plus the Ram Box lids are the same. My thought was, I hope I never have trouble with the lids or the tailgate not opening. I...
Rudrow, try holding your key fob against the rear door glass as you close the driver’s door. That stops the 3horn honk on my ‘22 Longhorn. I’m assuming you have a 2019 as it shows, but your title states ‘23 and up. So, if you have a ‘23, there is a way to stop it using AlfaOBD.
You only need the key if you want to lock or unlock it. As long as it isn’t locked , you can open and close it by twisting the handle. If you are going to have a bed cover, as I do, I wouldn’t worry about the key. I never lock mine.
Probably the dealership or a locksmith could re-key the lock...
Taking my ‘22 1500 in tomorrow for PA inspection/emissions and it is supposed to have a recall (ABS) done as well. Might check to see if they can do the oil change too. ( never used the free ones I got since I bought the truck ) I’m hoping I don’t end up with new problems!
I know reading if fundamental, all I was doing is to verify it doesn’t work on a ‘22. Plus I had tried this over a week ago, before Jimmy07 posted this.
I tried on my 2022 Ram 1500 Longhorn Limited with AlfaOBD and the CustSetMenu 3 was already set at NO. Beep>Beep>Beep still happens. You can hold the key fob against the rear door glass as you close the front door and the horn doesn’t honk 3 times.
Same here as stevieb92. I live in PA and bought my new ‘23 Challenger a year ago from an CJDR dealership in Illinois. Had the car shipped. They required me ( although I did not want to do it ) to pay my PA sales tax for registration, plus title fees. I wanted to take care of this myself as I...
Frankierider2, the Rambox dividers will fit from any truck that came with the rambox regardless of length. You can still get, or could get the 6.7’ bed with a 2500. Different style lids but inside dimensions are the same. Like I said before, if you don’t get a key with a used one, you would need...
Is that just for the cover or the whole kit? I personally didn’t like the Mopar folding cover but it did what it was intended to do. I wanted something more secure and I ended up with a Retrax.
