    2026 1500 5.7 start stop issue

That's good information. None of the trucks I mentioned had the GT exhaust. Just another reason to disable stop/start IMHO. :D

    2026 1500 5.7 start stop issue

I owned a 2020 Laramie with etorque and a 2021 Limited also with etorque. Neither of those trucks did this. My daughter's 2019 Rebel with etorque did not do it either.

2026 Ram 1500 REV Limited Caught Testing Ahead of Launch

My daughter has a love/hate relationship with her 4xE Wrangler. She loves it when they're able to use it but hate how often it's been in the shop in the 2+ years they've owned it.

2026 Ram 1500 REV Limited Caught Testing Ahead of Launch

I read in one article that they are cancelling EV and PHEV programs to concentrate more on developing range extended EV's like this. So I'd be surprised if they cancelled it.

    2026 1500 5.7 start stop issue

That's not normal. Take it in and have it looked at.

2021 RAM 1500 5.7 – Stock Exhaust Sounds Different After Repair

I would agree with this diagnosis. We’ve owned three 5th gens with the 5.7 from new and the stock exhaust is quite quiet from inside the cab. So I changed out the stock exhaust on all three of them so I could actually enjoy the exhaust sound. I noticed a lot of corrosion on the stock exhaust...

2019 Ram 5.7 - eTorque MGU failed, replaced, failed again a year later

Isn’t that what I said? :ROFLMAO:

2019 Ram 5.7 - eTorque MGU failed, replaced, failed again a year later

That's a good question. Seems like all I've read about have been problems with the Hemi MGU. The Pentastar uses a different MGU and maybe it is less susceptible to these problems.

    5W30

I’d also like to know where the 2020 owner’s manual states that 5w-30 is okay to use if 5w-20 is unavailable. I can’t find that statement in my 2020 owner’s manual. I’ve read this claim in other forums, and have seen it in owner’s manuals for older (4th gen) owner’s manuals. But it seems that...

COMPLETLY DEFEATED AND HUMILIATED BY THE TIME WASTED I cant find the app button to even see what I have

Honestly, I don't know if there is anything that says which uconnect version it is (uconnect4 vs uconnect5). But like I said before, any 5th gen model year 2021 and older have uconnect4. Model year 2022 and up are uconnect5. I realize that's what you'd call tribal knowledge, but it's why I...

COMPLETLY DEFEATED AND HUMILIATED BY THE TIME WASTED I cant find the app button to even see what I have

    OP has a 2020 so it’s uconnect4. Uconnect5 wasn’t introduced in 5th gen 1500’s until model year 2022.

2019 Ram 5.7 - eTorque MGU failed, replaced, failed again a year later

The 10 year 100k power train warranty will cover any turbo failures. I feel like the smartest thing we did was get rid of the 2021 Limited w/etorque and keep the 2020 Limited no etorque. Sorry to hear about the issues you guys are having with your etorque equipped trucks.

Do 4th Gen Megacabs have the cutouts in floor for the "in-floor" storage?

You should be able to look from underneath and see if the sheet metal has cutouts or not.

Passenger screen swap for glove box

We have the passenger screen in our ‘24 Grand Cherokee and we’ve found it very useful when traveling. We made three cross country trips last fall and it was great for finding gas stops or accommodations for the night without having to stop. Sure, we could have done the same thing with Google...

    Trade My 21 or not

That's exactly my point. When etorque works it's fine, but when issues come up which require a new MGU or 48v battery module it's a nightmare for sure. I've owned two 5th gens with etorque. A 2020 for 18 months and a 2021 for 2 years. Never any problems with either truck, but I didn't...

Ram CEO Claims That 1500 Customers Prefer the HEMI V8 Over the Hurricane I6

I’m curious to know where you’re hearing this information?

Ram CEO Claims That 1500 Customers Prefer the HEMI V8 Over the Hurricane I6

I share that sentiment. I’d love to see that engine in a 1500. I just don’t see it happening.

Ram CEO Claims That 1500 Customers Prefer the HEMI V8 Over the Hurricane I6

It’s funny that you only see two possibilities. While it’s true that I enjoy hearing a V8, that’s not the only reason I prefer the Hemi. I’ve driven a Hurricane equipped Laramie. Honestly I wasn’t that impressed. I didn’t really notice much of a power difference. That opinion may change if...

    Trade My 21 or not

I wouldn’t trade it until you have to, but I’m partial to the non etorque Hemi.

Hemi, Hurricane, or keep my current Ram

OP already said he’s used the warranty for about $5000 worth of repairs. But it really doesn’t matter how much he’s used it up until now. This is a lifetime warranty. Vehicles will start having issues as they age. A lifetime warranty isn’t worth having unless you’re keeping the vehicle for a...
