    NASCAR engines run at 250+ degrees. I know drag racers that don't run any coolant and can hit over 250 degrees by the end of the pass. Sure, they aren't as worried with long lifespan, but how much does the heat really effect long term durability, as long as the oil is still doing its job

    Should be a rubber gasket in the box for the thermostat. If not you will need to get one. Don't reuse the factory one.

    The 5th gens don't have many issues with lifters. Dodge/Ram already admitted they were using bad lifters and switched to a lifter with larger needle bearings. Also, idling was not the downfall of the lifters. Want slightly higher idle, turn your A/C on and it will get you about 100rpm

    Those are software issues with the new canbus architecture they implemented in 25 model year on the Rams. The engine itself has been mostly good. There have been threads already with 26 model here Hemisnjavjng simikar software issues
