I have a Garmin dezl 770 that I'd like to be able to mount. It's a large GPS, and a little on the heavy side.
Specs are: 7.8 x 4.8 x 1" and weighs 15.4 oz. Bought it when pulling a 43ft. Toyhauler with the Dually I use to have. I like it because of the larger screen and free lifetime updates...
I upgraded to 40.1 by buying the 2 usb sticks (one was firmware & one was nav) from www.navigation.com Wasn't cheap - about $150 if I recall correctly.
@1791 - The CDT's have been a great addition to my build! Had to get the CDT Audio CL-69S 4 Ohm version. the baskets on the standard version is too deep to fit. A couple of people thought I had a sub installed hearing the CDT's even before I actually had installed a sub box.

Are there any updates for this? Paid out the nose to get this update. Thanks.

Wife and I made a vehicle purchase 4 hours away - closest dealer that had exactly what we wanted. Called, and went to see the vehicle. Left with it shortly after. Purchased a warranty afterwards.
KFC X3C's in the dash are crossed over to produce midrange only.
KFC X3C's in the rear headliner are crossed as tweets.
Hertz Cento's in the front doors have had a modified bracket made to center and bring the tweets up to the opening of the grills for better dispersion into the cab.

Interesting... It'd definitely be an investment so that you could use it for a mold for going the fiberglass route. I myself wouldn't take on the challenge, but those familiar with the process of working with it might just find it a good starting place in creating their own sub box. I went the...
