Bought the No Mar MC changer when the dealer gave me a 2 week ETA. Funny thing is I've done a 1/2 dozen car tires and no MC tires. My buddy was the first to use the trailer hitch and loved it. He talked about buying one. I said why buy and store when you can borrow mine when you need it.
My...
I don't see a reason you couldn't use this FOB. Looks like 99.1% feedback for the ebay seller with over 138K responding. If the additional $30 plus for the OEM FOB gives you peace of mind that is not a high cost.
Last time I looked on line the OEM FOB was $170 with an MSRP of $255...
What brand MC tire changer? I have not tried doing a Ram wheel with my No Mar brand. Had a little learning curve on my Honda Fit tires. I also purchased the hitch mount for the No Mar, gives me the freedom and space to work outdoors vs bolting it to my cellar floor.
Prep work takes time. I think it takes less than 5 minutes to spray a coat on the brackets. Perhaps the best approach is to do what you can in place and put some PPF in places.
Nice going. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with less than 90K on the odometer. Didn't have the time back in the day to pay attention to the necessary maintenance and it is dying a slow death from body rot. Not happening with this one. Did the under carriage 3 years ago with touching up any...
My running board brackets needed some attention, didn't like the rust and road rash, not a lot of miles on them. 4 of the brackets are for the full length stainless boards and 6 are for the black polypropylene boards (TRX).
Thinking of adding some PPF to the sides for some protection against...
I have not done the TPMS in my 2019 Ram 1500 which will be 7 years old shortly. I have changed the TPMS in my 2011 Honda Fit with a No Mar motorcycle tire changer. I break the bead and replace the TPMS. I do not change the position of the tire on the rim and do not rebalance the wheel.
I...

I find post #3 interesting, add a couple of buttons and new cover to upgrade the your remote functions.
How difficult is it to solder in those buttons? What tools and skill level?
New cover for the remote is not that difficult and my replacement cost less than $14...
Didn't try to sell you brakes? Had that happen several times once with an oil change (Honda dealership, wife's car) and once with an annual inspection (independent shop) meanwhile they missed/ignored the strut that needed to be replaced.
For those considering running boards here are some "Factors" for consideration.
Factors for running boards:
1. material - steel, SS, alu, plastic
2. shape - flat, round, oval, trapezoid, other (more off road)
3. width - 3, 4, 5, 6 inch
4. color - black, polished, painted
5. connections to...
I wouldn't say leave it stock but I would say take some time and educate yourself on what is available, evaluate your needs along with your desires to prioritize spending some $$$$.
Walmart is the best bang for the buck and warranty, plus there are plenty of Walmarts for an exchange if the need arises for the warranty. Supporting USA companies usually comes at an additional cost.
Not sure if you decided on the running boards yet. Some info on running boards. Some people had trouble installing the running boards do to paint on the studs.
