Actually, yes they do sell covers that allow full use of the boxes with the cover on and fully closed. My RealTruck cover allows for the boxes to open completely.
@Realtruck has some good ones. Generally less money means less water tight, but the quality in general (if you aren't going expensive, aka, hard aluminum) on soft covers, is essentially equal.
If you want to go expensive, most hard deck fold back aluminum covers are pretty good.

Interesting, since the 3.6 in my 21 Wrangler calls for 0W-20 and I've run that for close to 90K now with no issue. What is the logic behind the blanket statement?
Well sure, in 1926 and about 40 years ago when Keith Black died, this may have been a true statement. But turbo built motors are just as reliable as most NA motors in 2024. Not to mention, for their displacement they produce a hell of a lot more power.
I'm a fan of the Ram Box, and would have ordered them if they didn't come by default on the smaller bed. In all my trucks, I've always stored things under the rear seat - it is nice to not need to do that anymore.
