Hurricane HO Oil Change Pricing Question

Post the link to Pennzoil 0-w40 Ultra Platinum please.

Hurricane HO Oil Change Pricing Question

That was on a HEMI, not a HO. That said what kind of oil were you using? Pennzoil 0-w40 Platinum, 8qts., is nearly $100 on its own. And that doesn't include the filter. For the HEMI it makes sense since the oil is so much cheaper (around $45), than the 0-w40 in the HO. As I posted earlier, if...

Hurricane HO Oil Change Pricing Question

I've never seen such a crock. Definitely do not ever use this place for any maintenance at all. I had mine changed at a local shop for $89.00. I change the oil on my Wrangler myself and it still costs me $40, so definitely more to have someone else do it in the Jeep. However, at 89.00...that...

Exhaust Options for Hurricane 3.0 SST

You clearly care, you're in a thread about the 3.0.....

    Cold air intake

Some people just will never accept anything, they are also the same that have never actually dyno'd any vehicle they've owned :) Don't argue with walls.

Air intake and cat back exhaust upgrade

Depends on your concept of 'sounds good'. If you like the sound of an American V8? Then no, of course not, it isn't a V block and it isn't 8 cylinders an an uneven firing order (you know, the thing that creates the 'rumble'). If 'sounds good' is a better tone than stock, then most aftermarket...

Air intake and cat back exhaust upgrade

So tiresome with the 'save your money' lines. If you want it to sound better, yes get an intake and exhaust. No, they will not void your warranty. Only recommendation, use a dry filter, not an oiled one. If you want something to sound better on the truck...absolutely without a doubt an intake...

    K&N intake

On a 3.6, consider a S&B intake, it will sound considerably better.

WTF? Anyone else with a Limited or Tungsten have severe chipping on your wheel well trim?

Yikes, I have none of that happening. Wonder if it is prone to some paints?

    Boost on the 2025 1500 h/0 I6

Sadly I don't think that is an option on the display :(

    Pentastar or Hurricane I6?

I think you answered your own question. If you determine reliability based primarily in issues against years in service and quantity, the Pentastar has been around decade (2011) in many vehicles and proven itself to be an insanely reliable V6. That said, it is old. But if reliability is your...

    Hurricane Gas mileage

Wasn't that Ford rated at 24mpg? Seems like getting 20 was a greater loss than you're seeing on the Ram. How many miles on the Ram? I routinely get 17mpg+. And since you're seeing similar drops on both your vehicles, I think the driver's right foot may be the reason :)

    3.0 HO as an OPTION

Doesn't it say the average mpg is a bit over 17, with the high if you ever were only at highway speeds would be 21? Not surprising you never see 20.

    2025 3.0L SO - Break In Period?

    Oil change monitor

Yup generally regardless of miles you should change it once a year. Per the 2025 manual: Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km), 12 months or 350hours of engine run time, whichever comes first.

    Oil change monitor

Don't worry about what % as much as you care about how many miles since the last change. If you tow a lot, change it around 5-7K. If you don't, change it around 7-10k. To answer your question, yes most likely an additional 1900 miles will bring that number to 0% - simple math you have probably...

    2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

I don't know, I've had it work on every street around my house and I don't live in a highly populated area. Also, it works on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge - that is 5 miles long - which surprised me.

    Hate my 2025 ram 1500

You got a 3.6, none of those have 'balls' no matter what they are in, it's a 9 second to 60 motor..hell in a Jeep they get 6.5. You should have bought a used 2024 or 2023 used with a 5.7, especially if you're doing landscaping with it -towing beating and the crap out of the bed. Unless you wrote...

    Fuel economy

As others said, can't imagine you're getting a boosted 3.0 putting out 540hp to get better than 17-20mpg.
