its fine.. You are puling a big parachute behind you.. think drag car at the end of 1/4 mile.. the HEMI needs to get a little rpm up to produce torque for hill climbing with loads.. its normal . you cant hurt it.. I regularly pulled 12,000 lb trailers with both of mine .. no issues .
Its very hot here but my 2021 E-Torque Hemi has never exceeded 212* on coolant even towing 12,000# with A/C on and the trans stays under 190*. Oil temp between 210-230* .. I think the op needs to get his dealer to check it out..
who exactly said ANYTHING about guns Elmer ? or are you one of those who think guns fire all by themselves ? Mine must be defective, I ve had them for decades and guess what? They never shot anyone! Imagine that.. But many have died from drunks driving PICK UPS! You seem pretty proud of...
sounds like a few of you guys spend more time calibrating and recalibrating a useless feature than enjoying your boat or camper.I have 9 various trailers.. Absolute waste of time .. Just learn to back up. You learned to drive FORWARD didnt you? Or do you have a self-drive car too?
I think you might want to seek professional help.. Anger Management classes maybe.. and when you have the authority from your keyboard position in your moms basement,to kick me off, with your cancel culture mentality, go for it . Til then, ITS STILL AMERICA ..
So no one is allowed opinions here but you? You should be in CA instead of TN.. and how exactly does YOUR post help him? just sayin .. many of us think that option is just wasted money .. we can still do that. you can disagree, WE DONT MIND other opinions
I really hate to say it but I agree with him .. learn to back up a trailer by yourself. Its really not difficult with our big outside mirrors ..find a parking lot and practice. We are all getting far to dependent on electronic gadgets. We are losing the ability to think and make decisions for...
Check or have someone check your trailer wheel bearings for damage or too much slack. Also, if you can have someone follow behind you to see if trailer is tracking straight and /or if there is any visible wobble in either wheel. a slightly bent axle could be at fault to..
why would you use TOW/HAUL mode for such a light trailer? 3500 lbs? completely unnecessary . extended shift points and engine braking for such a light tow? its like theres nothing there
from FCA What is Ram eTorque and What Does it Do?
Ram eTorque captures braking energy, stores it, and then uses it to provide support to the vehicle’s engine when it is operating at low speeds. Functioning like regeneration technology found in hybrid models, Ram eTorque is very...
My 17 Hemi was definitely noticeably when it went into MDS at low speed, if fact I complained to DEALER about it. They claimed it was because I used 5W20 Synthetic.. So they filled it with 0W20 blend... MADE NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!...so I usually turned it off and refilled with 5W20. however...
from CONSUMER REPORTS ...
For 2019, the eTorque mild-hybrid system will come standard on all 3.6-liter V6 Ram models, and will be available on 5.7-liter Hemis. Note, however, that Ram will not be using the word “hybrid” in its advertising (more on that a little later).
Simpler in many ways...
so the 130 ft lbs of torque the 48 v E-torque sustem produces is used to turn 1/2 of one rotation and nothing else in any capacity to assist the truck engine? thats your statement ? just want to be sure, the engineers went thru all trouble and expense including the 48v briefcase battery and...
the OEM Goodyear Wranglers on mine were so soft and thin that the limestone in my driveway and on the road to my Camp, penetrated several . causing flats that were not repairable. Really a poor quality tire. Thats when I tried FALKENs .. never had another problem.
is it possible that the issue is in your trailer brakes and not in the controller? worn out or loosely adjusted brake shoes. I have multiple trailers of different weights. adjustment is very easily done on each
I have run Falkens 275x60r20s on 3 of my trucks for years.. I tow up to 12,000 pounds in a Hyd Dump Trailer at hiway speeds. .. never had an issue with a single tire yet . The OEM Goodyears blew in no time . Cant handle the weight . My new truck has Bridgestones on it.. so far they seem to...
hold the bus dude.. 21 E-Torque Hemi /3.21 gears that pulls my 12,000 # dump trailer without issue , and get 25- 26 mpg hiway empty .. what do you tow? BTW with near 400 HP , plus 130 FT lbs with E-torque ,nothing is weak on my hemi
