2021 Lonestar with the 5.7 Etorque and 3.21 gearing. I tow (among other things) a Jayco Jayfeather 24RL. When loaded and ready t go, it is at about 6,400 lbs. No issues with trailiering but I have the 33 gallon than and a weight distributing hitch.
I'm fortunate enough to have 2 stations within 10 miles of home/work that sell non-ethanol 91 octane. It's priced between the 89 and 93 octanes we get here in Texas. I run both my vehicles on it as well as stored fuel for generator, riding mower, etc.
2021 Longhorn no flares. Is it necessary to still use the small liners at the front of the wheel well? it seems as though the Rough Country ones will cover the area.
Talked with securityguy last week. He was very helpful. What I did was to remove the panel and tap into the wires for the existing 12 volt socket. Then moved the fuse to switched power as he described above. east-peasy. Took all of 15 minutes.
Question regarding towing capacity....3.31 - 3.92 axle = 18% difference. 8,100 - 11,720 tow limit = 45% difference. The tow package, according to the build app does not include an additional oil or transmission cooler. Does not compute in my mind unless I missed something. I had a GMC Canyon...
Don't know and don't care...all I know from first hand knowledge is my method has worked just fine on the 2 dozen of so vehicles I have bought over the last 52 years. I have gotten over 250k out of a 1990 Ford Ranger with the POS 2.9 V6 and 300k from a 2002 Toyota Sequoia used to tow SeaDoos. No...
FWIW, I did my 1st oil change at 250 miles with Castrol 5-20 dino, changed back to Mobil1 5-30 syn at 2,500 and will change again at 5,000 and every 5,000 thereafter. My reasoning for this is to allow a proper break-in which really cannot be achieved with syn as it is actually too slippery.
I'm...
I'm currently running my Valentine 1 from the lighter plug in the center Top of the dash. It looks bad with all the wires exposed. Also, the plug is unswitched so I have to turn it on and off manually.
I believe I can remove the panel with the instructions provided in the "installing a factory...
New owner here, I searched but could not find anything relating to this: I would prefer the navi unit to show anywhere from 1-5 miles ahead of me when traveling on interstates. I am able to pinch the screen to get to that resolution but it returns to it's smaller display in less than a minute...
Just picked up my 21 Longhorn 2 weeks ago. Navigation was working perfectly until last Saturday. It went stupid and was showing location about 1/4 mile from actual. SiruisXM also would not work. I stopped for gas and everything was working again when I restarted. Hope it was just a brain fart...
