Front windows tinted installer said he couldn’t cover the corners

None really. There used to be an annual military airshow at Van Nuys airport in SoCal. I took that picture from my 12th floor office window as they were leaving on a Monday morning. The B1 took a loop around the valley and picked up 4 F-16's in formation. As a final goodbye, they all hit their...

Front windows tinted installer said he couldn’t cover the corners

Same here, no issues with tinting the entire driver & passenger windows. The guy I used has been in business for over 30 years though. I'd ask for my $ back and look for another installer.

    Vanity Plates

Best one I've ever seen was back in Cali: Newer Porsche 911 with a yuppie-type driving. NO WYFE

Removing AGS and Active Air Dam

I'm not exactly sure how these shutters work, or what their purpose is (probably EPA related) but my truck makes a metallic rattling sound from the front once I exceed 60 mph. It's almost like the tolerances where the shutters mount are too loose. Anyone else notice this?

    Rough Country Rear Wheel Liners

I did mine last August when the temp was in the high 90's. Leave them out for an hour or two in the sun and they will definitely gain some flexibility. I've got bad wrists and also used a heat gun. Only took about 20 minutes per side. The instructions are excellent by the way; just follow them.

    87 vs 89 vs 93 (again)

One thing that has not been mentioned. If you are pulling into a station and see a truck delivering fuel, go to another station. Reason is the new load of gas is stirring up all the crud that falls to the bottom of the stations tank over time. That will end up in your tank as many stations don't...

Which oil seperator are you running?

Same here. I just had my 1st oil change after adding it and there was about 3/4" of very dirty oil in the can.

    87 vs 89 vs 93 (again)

I've gone the other way. There is a station by me that has 91 non-ethanol. It's priced between the 89 and 93. I live in hurricane country so I also keep 40 gallons of it stored for my generator. With Sta-Bil, it will keep for 2 years but I rotate it thru the truck every year.

Odd transmission shifting habits 5.7 E-torque

I think it's a gas mileage thing. Keep it in the highest gear for as long as possible. I had a 2016 GMC Canyon that would stay in 6th (highest for that year) until it coasted 20 mph or so. If you accelerated, it would just lug the engine, staying in 6th. If you needed to go, you would have to...

    Quick oil recommendations

Same here , went to conventional until 2,500, then Mobil1 thereafter every 7,500.

Which oil seperator are you running?

Billet Tech here also. Quality stuff. Mounting bracket puts it in an out of the way place but still easy unscrewing for draining.

I'm in the market for a new radar detector

Been a Valentine owner for 15+ years. It doesn't have any fancy GPS or anything like that. All it does is detect radar (&laser) and it does an excellent job at it. Mounted mine in the pocket just in front of the center speaker & pulled power from the 12v cigarette plug. Changed fuse to the...

    Odd Noise From Front

Normally, I have my radio at a fairly loud level. For some reason, I didn't have it on and noticed a rattle type of noise coming from the front. It's speed sensitive, starting about 58mph and gong away below that. RPM does not affect the noise. I'm thinking its the grill shutters rattling. This...

0w 20 oil, to my surprise

What are they recommending when an engine gets to 100,000 or more miles? It used to be (for me at least) that when an engine started burning a quart between oil changes, I went from a 10/40 to 20/50 Castrol until I sold it.

if you have a hemi etorque

I used the e torque as a method of bargaining. Went to an out of town dealer for the express purpose of testing both models. Didn't really notice a major difference between the 2. Auto stop was easy to defeat as was the MDS. Found my truck at the local dealership with e torque. I'm an older guy...

    Better MPG with higher octane?

I found that to be true also with 91 cornless. For those of you that would like to try it, here is link to stations in US & Canada that sell cornless gas https://www.pure-gas.org/

    Better MPG with higher octane?

    Orange, Texas....Regular $3.09... 89 $3.29... 93 $3.59. I've been using 91 non-ethanol for $3.49

Another Question On The MDS/ECO Mode

Exact;y why I won't get it. I wish Trifecta would start working on the Hemi. I had their system on my last truck, a 2016 GMC Canyon 3.6 V-6. In performance mode, it would outrun just about any truck out there. You flashed the ECU but you could also unflash it and it wouldn't advance the counter...

Another Question On The MDS/ECO Mode

The latter. It's primary function is to provide different tuning "Maps" depending on your needs/mood. The only reason I haven't purchased one yet is that my truck is still under warranty and I can't seem to get a definitive answer if it leaves a trace of itself after it is removed should I need...
