the thinking is hemi engine runs HOT and they sell more hemi trucks than V6 or Ecodiesel, so they located it there to be away from the hot engine.

after connecting the battery you need to "reset" it.
hold it for 10-15 seconds after you roll it up. or roll it up, release, and hold it for 10-15 seconds. maybe 5-10 seconds work too but i usually hold it for 10-15 seconds. this work across most brands.

not a fan of bottle jacks myself. the wheeled jacks are more versatile and safer (more stable) but if space is a constraint and you can find solid and stable surface when using then it can be fine.
just know that it's not going to be better or more stable than the wheeled off-road floor jacks...
Working on 2026 Calendars and decided to use my truck as one of the graphics for the "vehicle" themed version.

yes that is normal because the speed is too much for the gear selected at low range. It'd gone to 3rd gear but you limited it to 2nd, so that happened to protect the transmission.
You should still use brake to control your speed, though apply brake gently, alternatively, you can use Hill Descent...
