If you add them to the rear, you’d need the ORP shocks too. According to Bilstein tech support, the non ORP shocks don’t have enough travel to safely accommodate the extra inch. Can’t speak to the accuracy but that’s what I was told.
@z0n3 is right in that setting 4 is the right balance. My truck (non ORP) sits almost dead level on #4, but any lower wouldn’t be worth it and any higher could require UCAs and other considerations. I think if I towed today on #4 or even put a couple hundred pounds in the bed, I’d be a little...
These trucks don’t have a lot of rake. I used the Bilstein’s on #4 (non ORP) and got 1.3” in the front and it’s close to perfectly level. Now I want to raise the rear up about .5-1” so I don’t sit nose high under load. If you are doing it yourself, I’d recommend the RC coilovers for the sake of...
That definitely would have made the job easier. What did you do in the rear? I was looking at the Bilstein 1” springs, but can’t find any info if the shocks would need to be replaced.
Finally installed the Bilstein 5100s. Went with setting #4 for a 1.3” front lift. Will probably do ORP springs in the back or a small spacer to keep a little more rake. I like the stance with some rake but ground clearance was terrible from the factory and I’m in the northeast (Central MA), so...
Just so everyone knows, I just read the XM Guardian Privacy Policy. Even if your subscription ends, they still transmit data (including location data) from your vehicle to FCA periodically. They expressly state that "Cancellation of SiriusXM Guardian Services alone does not stop the transmission...
There’s a few pictures out there of the matte deflector on a midnight package. I’ve seen it on a white truck and it looked awesome. Here’s a couple examples on a black truck.
Thanks — no rubbing, and yeah, these are the stock Wildpeaks. Wheels have a +1 offset so they poke out a little more than factory and sit flush with the factory fender flares. I got them from WheelsAsap and you can negotiate with them. I think I paid $1,577 and they included a spline lug set and...
Have had my Ram a little under 6 months now. Finally got the ceramic tint done on the two front windows. Have been slowly upgrading. Here’s a couple before and after pics from Sept 2020 (completely stock) to today.
Maybe a different kind of “chirp” but confirmed that the FlowFX rusted out after just a few months and cracked at the seams. Air was escaping which made a little chirping noise at the right RPMs. No issues since reinstalling the factory muffler and removing the Flowmaster junk.
Thanks for sharing. I’m embarrassed to admit that the problem went away after I reinstalled my factory muffler and got rid of the Flowmaster FlowFX one. I suspect air was seeping out of a small crack in the aftermarket muffler and either causing or contributing to the chirping sound. All is...
TSB addressed by dealer but still no resolution. Chirp/squeak is still louder than ever. The shop foreman and service manager both couldn’t hear it because it’s so high-pitched and they’re “advanced age” so they sent their youngest employee (a 19-year-old) on a ride a long with me and he heard...
