    Back-up Lights

The LED housings integrate nicely in that location, damn near looks factory. You got me thinking... Amazon doesn't have these and doesn't know when or if they will. I'm looking for a suitable replacement that will fit. The housing used by the OP is 4.3 by 2.3 inches. If anyone finds a...

    Trailer Distance

You are correct about tow/haul mode, at least that is how my 2022 reacts. If a trailer is connected, for example, my boat, the truck has no idea it is back (the trailer uses surge braking) there nor do I use tow/haul mode with the boat. I do get a DIC message on the first turn I make saying it...

    One week review

When I took delivery of my 2022 Longhorn with the Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group, that was the first thing I noticed, the cup holders were too small to hold my 1-gallon water jug!

Album Art for Ripped Music - Solution

I've messed with the various formats in the past but I've stayed with variable encoded MP3s. In the truck with all the ambient noise, I could not hear the difference. About the album art the OP was referencing, it can be stored within the MP3 file but unless you instruct the ripper to do that...

    35 avg mpg

My wife and I took our 2022 Longhorn ED with the GDE tune for a 2,600 mile round trip from Detroit to Sioux Falls South Dakota, up to Duluth and Two Harbors Minnesota, then east to Marquette Michigan then to Michigan's Soo area, and then headed south back home. The average MPH for the trip was...

What are the current residual value %'s on new RAM leases?

I wish more people would realize what you said. When you lease, it is the leasing company that buys the vehicle for the price you negotiate. The lease part is you paying for the depreciation (purchase price less the calculated residual) over the term of the lease plus interest which is the money...

Test drove a GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation yesterday

I'm going to throw a wrench in this, from the facet of vehicle capability you are right but then when considering after-the-sale service support, Ford is terrible. I'm recalling the days of the HPFP on the PowerStrokes and Ford's deniability and blaming the customer. I'll never have a Ford under...

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

Not trying to prove anything but I was trying to find the 60 to 80 cents per gallon of gas you stated in your post #37 over street prices. I've seen substantial price deltas in the past, sometimes reaching 50 cents for a few days but never as high as you stated and suggested were the normal. I...

Test drove a GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation yesterday

It took like forever but GM is finally raising the quality of the interiors on the trucks. The 2024 interior along with the I6 Duramax makes me much more interested in a GM solution when it comes time.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

A look and see on GasBuddy comparing the Norwood BJs to gasoline stations in the area doesn't show the large delta stated. BJs is selling regular gas for $3.22 per gallon with area retail stations running 10 to 20 cents more per gallon.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

Same here, in fact, the new Costco builds now have greatly expanded fuel stops. Sometimes you have to wonder how people think. They come into a Costco fuel station to save 25 cents a gallon (that is the typical delta here between Costco and street prices) with a vehicle that has a 16-gallon...

Maintenance on the power running boards

I've got two Michigan winters on my boards and no issues (yet). When I clean the vehicle, I use the power washer to clean the dirt (I live off dirt roads) from the pivot points of the boards. I've not used anything to lubricate the pivots nor have I read anything about lubricating the pivot...

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

The one reoccurring issue with EV towing I see on YouTube is they need to disconnect the trailer, recharge, and then reconnect the trailer. The charges are not laid out to support trailers. They need pull-through charging stations.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

They have that covered, literally, in Cbty2050's post, one of the included items was a fire blanket.

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

This is interesting and sure would take away the anxiety of battery replacement/availability and costs associated, or would it? Now the concern refocuses on the replacement cells. They are going to have a tech replace bad cells with new cells meaning they will be intermixing new cells that can...

Demand For Electric Pickup Trucks Continue To Decline

One more for the list, the cost of a replacement battery if the battery is still available. This issue of battery replacement makes the used EV nearly worthless after a few years or when the battery can no longer hold a reasonable charge.
