Banks pedal monster for 2019 Ram Rebel

I'd spring for used Pulsar over the banks pedal monster then if you can find one. They do more then just pedal sensitivity, they adjust the fuel and timing and I did see it tested on a dyno where IIRC they even got more than the 30 hp advertised. Tow mode is kind of nice, in between stock and...

Banks pedal monster for 2019 Ram Rebel

Of all the pedal toys out there, this is the better one to get due to how its designed. I did own one for a while but found after some time I just preferred stock pedal feel and so I sold mine after I got my pulsar (since the pulsar also adjusts pedal feel if I ever wanted to go back to a...

is the 6.4 coming to the 2026 1500

Apparently one of the reasons they want to bring the 5.7 back is keep costs down. The 5.7 and 6.4 are cheaper to manufacture than the hurricanes, not only are they simpler engines but the research and tooling is all paid off long ago. But yeah, they have made terribly stupid mistakes in the...

is the 6.4 coming to the 2026 1500

I don't think they're talking about an entire SRT trim, just putting the SRT 6.4 as an engine upgrade into the lineup. That's all I'm looking for anyway. Just the engine in a tradesman/bighorn.

is the 6.4 coming to the 2026 1500

I can believe that the 6.4 is coming, where I disagree with Alex is that I think it will be the SRT @ 485 hp and not the BGE @ 410 hp. There is no way they're only putting the BGE engine in the truck, my guess is that we're finally getting the SRT like they put in every other car/jeep/suv they...

    Another towing thread

That's a great catch. I wonder how many buyers even look under the trailer.

    Well I traded her in..

Nice, I did expect the 1500 to be a faster truck unloaded. But drop a 6000 lb trailer behind both and I would expect all that extra torque in the 7.3 to easily pull away from the 5.7. Hope you'll come back with towing reports, would be great to hear it as I've thought about making the same move...

Nice truck! How is the performance of the 7.3 vs the 5.7?

    Another towing thread

Make sure they're inflated to what it says on the door sticker, you'll be fine. I have the goodyear wranglers on 18's and find them to be very comfortable tires, nice and soft and quiet ride. Probably why the poster above found them easy to cut but it's all about your personal application...

Pedal commander vs Pedal max vs Banks vs...

Been saying this for years but always got hate in the comments for it: the only two that are safe, are the banks pedal monster and the pulsar. Neither of these 2 power themselves on the pedal circuit, all the others do and it's terrible design because the pedal circuit is not designed to power...

    2020 Ram fluid change intervals

It sounds like you have something seriously wrong with your engine. 5w-30 won't throw up a warning in a properly working engine, I've run 0w-40 for a whole summer and did everything from light driving to heavy towing, zero issues, zero warnings, nothing showing up in scanners etc. Keep in mind...

    Wheels for Billet Silver?

Not my truck, but always liked this look. These are OEM rims in a 22", you can get aftermarket rims which look identical but are at 20" instead, which look a little nicer, more sidewall and less rubber band.

Whats the difference between 5w-20 and 0-w20

More shear stable is a good thing. When an oil shears down it can drop almost as much as a grade or more (so maybe it's now a 0w-16 instead of a 0w-20). Xw-20 is already super thin for a hemi, shearing down is bad news.

    5w20 vs 5w30

Owner's manual also says transmission fluid is "lifetime" and doesn't need to be serviced. They're very clearly wrong as ZF says to service it. 5w-30 offers superior protection, it's not a "oil cap" thing it's a tribology thing.

    5w20 vs 5w30

So you're never going to change your transmission fluid then?

    5w20 vs 5w30

What makes a 5w-30 a 5w-30 and not a 5w-20? It's the measured HT/HS value at 100 degrees celsius. When the oil is colder, say, at 0C, it will be much thicker, maybe a 5w-40. When it's at 150C it's thinner, maybe a 5w-20 at that point. Shorter answer: yes you can safely run different grades of...
