Got the front windows tinted to 50%. It's legal limit and will reduce heat into the cab through those windows by almost half. We'll see how it affects real-world temps. Appearance is a minor benefit. Reducing heat/glare was my main objective.
I would think the experiences of everyone here would tell you the dealer isn't doing anything. You can log complaints and problems with FCA (I did this with my tow mirrors) without going to a dealer. And it is a fair assumption that by this time, FCA is fully aware of this problem. Anyone...
What I don't understand is why anyone is bringing their truck into the dealer AFTER reading the 5+ A/C threads we have going indicating they not only never do anything good but have no idea what to do about it. Just stand by until a formal message is put out from FCA (if they do) and/or use the...
I redid it this morning. Got 51.3 driver's side and 44 passenger side. Less than one degree change after clamping.
I am not clamping the whole house as tightly closed as I can. I figured clamping mostly closed would reduce temps. Am I not clamping enough to make a difference? I am cautious not...
Finally got the clamp and put it on. Noticed no difference at all. Temps were the same, mid-40s. I was hoping to get into the 30s. It wasn't that hot out so maybe it will make a difference after sitting all day in a parking lot in the 90-degree weather. I am underwhelmed. Maybe my A/C isn't so...
Thx. I am tracking I can only do 50% based on my state laws for the front sides. I kind of want them to match like yours but 20% (which is what the back are) is way too dark unfortunately. Debating if 50% is worth it...can't find a photo with 50% anywhere for comparison.
I know. Sounds like it, right? Honestly I am a car noob and a trusted friend of mine who is a serious car guy (experience professionally detailing) recommends it, so I use it. I am not in a position to disagree with him and I know he won't steer me wrong. Like anything, you will get...
I didn't love mine initially either, but after a few days it became normal and I appreciate the sound now. I recommend you stick it out for at least a week. Nothing to lose.
Sunroof is worth it. It's awesome. There are a lot of threads about this. Most say yes. Don't have the 12" myself, so can't comment. 33 gallon tank is pretty functional. Wish I had that. Blind-spot and spray-in bedliner are totally worth it IMHO too. I got the Mopar hard-folding tonneau cover...
Mine actually just worked for the first time in 6 months. I am beside myself. I am never going to use it again just so I can say it works!!! Definitely not renewing SiriusXM on principle so it doesn't matter much since my trial is almost over.
I had a friend who was a real car geek and he was at almost a professional level with detailing his cars. He showed me this https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-WAC_707RU_16-EcoSmart-RU-Waterless/dp/B00FSAV5LU/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=chemical+guys+waterless+wash&qid=1559987319&s=gateway&sr=8-4 which...
Every time I see this thread has a new post I hope someone says they fixed it or there is a patch coming or something good....then I read it and get sad. This is so silly. I can't even believe we are still discussing this like it's a new technology in 2003 with glitches.
I doubt anyone would look hard at the A/C in the test drive as the assumption would be on a top of the line vehicle at this price point, you couldn't even imagine A/C could be an issue in any way. I made the same mistake not checking if my side view mirrors had defrost. I mean, how could this...
Pulled the trigger on the clamps finally. Been watching for a week to see if something crazy happened. Guess it's the fix until Ram figures this out. For $15, it's worth it.
