I'll address this and what you sent me in a pm here. Expect to be on hold upwards of 30 minutes each time you call. In my experience, despite what they say, THEY WILL NOT EVER CALL YOU. Give up hope on that. As for the star case, my dealer started one when they were first unable to figure...
It probably will. One thing I've read is that you should not mention lawyers when talking to these folks, that they will close the case if you do. I have not contacted an attorney myself yet, I'm still hoping they'll handle things less formally than that.
Good luck. I have called and spoken to ram customer care twice. Both times I was told I'd be called back in a specific time frame. Neither time did I ever hear from anyone. I'm trying to be reasonable and get them to voluntarily buy it back, but they're working hard to screw up, apparently...
Mine's back in the shop. Last time it was there I got what I think was the latest pcm flash. Service guy said it doesn't say it's to remedy any specific problem, but he thinks they probably did slide some stuff in there. My truck did the same thing it always does, severe bucking/jerking and...
I stopped by the dealership that has my truck and talked to the service manager. He has been driving my truck around some here and there trying to get it to mess up. Last time he did, which I think was this morning, the check engine light came on and code 0302 got stored. He had whatever...
That is true as long as you don't mind being without your truck, while you still make payments on it, for however long it takes to fix it. Or, like in the case of mine, they (ram) apparently do not yet know HOW to fix it. I must admit, I'm perplexed as to how you got your dealer to work in a...
I called ram service or whatever it's called and requested a buyback. The lady said they'll talk to the dealership it's at and I should hear from someone in 2 to 3 business days.
My truck is in the shop for the 3rd time for the same misfire problem, a star case is opened, and nothing is getting done. I'll probably never trust this truck again, so I'd like to start the buyback ball rolling. How do I do that?
It's kinda odd, the only trim level you can get an engine upgrade in is the big horn if I remember correctly. The pentastar is standard and the SO hurricane is optional. Given a choice to upgrade my laramie to HO I almost certainly would have.
You might want to block out your name and address on the picture you posted above. I would not be surprised if bots went through lots of internet sites looking for info like that to collect and sell.
It's about to be, I think. I have not yet requested a buyback, but I likely will be soon. At least I don't have a bunch of *******s for a dealership, they've been great throughout all this.
Service department called me today and asked if I wanted to put some miles on my truck this weekend and report back Monday. Star had them replace the maf. They haven't closed the ticket yet because they want to leave it open while some miles are put on it. That way, if it does it again they...
