Here's a pic of Eibach/OEM tires and new heavier 285/60s..the Fox 2.5s looks the same as second truck pic, but 1" higher..haven't gotten a new pic yet since resetting/leveling the rear end the other day.
If you decide to go with Fox 2.5s,
I just installed them leveled on my '24 Laramie Hemi and they are very comfy in every situation..especially at higher speeds on rough, cracked roads where it's hard to get good comfort.
I previously was running Eibach Pro-Truck struts with ORP springs (F) and...
At the end of the day (or project), I do love to get a suspension dialed in..and just doing mods in general. So I figure if I can do it, I will..then I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor👍
I've got two garages..my other one is my "shop", but it's outfitted for cars/cycles, and the truck is too...
I am DEFINITELY a chronic overthinker..more time thinking & planning than the actual doing!😝
BUT...I did go with Option 1+, and IT WORKED!!
First I removed the 1/8" spacer disc from under the 1" puck spacer on the LR.
Next I removed the 1" puck spacer from the RR and replaced it with 0.5"...
Wellllll, I'm not done yet, so who knows!
I just can't reason out these Foxs.
I'm actually completely open on all four L/H to get a reasonably soft, comfortable ride..that would be similar to my Eibachs were. The large cracks & bumps are better than the Eibachs though.
I'm just surprised that...
Today's info...
I adjusted down the valving to 1L/1H at all four corners and now the ride is about the same as my Eibach Pro-Truck struts/shocks were at low speeds/smooth roads/mild bumps, but they are definitely better on rougher roads/bumps/etc than the Eibachs, which is the reason I wanted...
I'm just noticing..you must have the Mopar 2" Lift?
I see that trackbar/panhard relocators in there.
I bought the relocators and hardwire kit off Ebay last year for cheap, but haven't seen the need for them yet.
I have the Core4x4 with JJoints, so for me, running the endlink to the outwards side of the swaybar gave a more perpendicular angle (and I reasoned more leverage on the swaybar being on the outside of the bar than the inside..probably not).
I used the aluminum spacer that came with my endlinks...
Yep, thanks much!
I never expected to have to redo the rear suspension twice in one day, but thankfully I hedged my bets and hadn't cleaned and put anything away, so I was able to take a quick spin to be sure, and then went right back at it to redo it again.
After the rear was done, I went back...
So Saturday was a LONG frickin day on the truck!
I did decide to swap in the Eibach 1" rear coil springs (E30-27-11-02-02) since the 1.5" coil spacers gave me about 0.5" rake..and I prefer Level.
BAD IDEA!!
So, I have NO idea what the deal is with the Eibach coils, but the rear of my truck...
I have a '24 so haven't done it, but I assume you can do it.
Some procedures do need a scanner hooked up while doing adjustments, but I'm sure someone with more knowledge will add insight soon here.
Ideally, I'd like 1-1.25" lift from them. I wonder what springs you actually have..Eibach advertises them as 1" lift for rear Ram 1500 (E30-27-011-02-02).
How do they ride on-road..smooth & rough surface?
