Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

Ok everyone..I talked to Dillon at Fox. (#1) Fox factory sends the PE DSC 883-06-166 set at 3.0" lift. (#2) ☆☆2 FULL rotations of the preload locking collar equals 1/4" of height change☆☆ (#3) Threads do not equate to collar rotatuon or height change. Dillon confirmed for me that if I want...

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

Ahhh, I forgot to mention, when my truck was about a week or so old, I popped both rear springs out, cut one full coil off the RR the side-to-side level it..AND added Airlift bags into the rear coils that I run at 5psi. I'll swap those into the new rear Eibachs or ORPs also for the added...

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

Huh, again interesting! I have a pair of 1" Eibach rear springs I plan to use when I pop in the Fox PE DSCs, but I also have a pair of ORP 1" rear springs in case I don't like them..I like my OEM rears, and my ORPs are matched over to the ORPs. I got the Thuren Trackbar on yesterday..I'm sure...

Man, I wish I could get back some of my brain cells to really do some math on this..I'll try, but the years (days, and last weekend) of 🍺&🥃 seem to have slowed me down🤣

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

Hey, are you sure you're not at 2.0" lift?? I think Fox factory sets these at 2.0" lift. My 23.5" is edge of fender flare to hc. My 23.625" is compensated to fender edge (no flare) to hc. I'm on a Solid 1.625" lift with the Eibachs. My 23.625" is 0.375" less than your ff to hc measure. Your...

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

I have a '24 Larry G/T..no flare from factory, but I added them with the new shoes. I accounted for old non-flare vs new with-flare..flares decrease measures by 1/8"..so I'm adjusting all new fe to hc/ground (+0.125") to keep equal.

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

Interesting...I'm at 23.5-23.625" fender edge to hub center with Eibach 1.625" level lift. My fender edge to ground measurement OEM was 37", Eibach set to 1.625", so 38.625" with OEM wheels..that is now 39.25" with the 285/60R20 Ascents..only 0.625" lift instead of 0.8" predicted change (33.5" -...

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

I did measure my Fox PE 883-06-166 and they are set from the factory at 15 threads/1.125" threads exposed...now if I definitively knew what that would be equated to in ride height(?)!!

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

My 883-06-166 PEs showed up this week..interestingly, both are factory set with ~15 threads showing..pretty much like yours. I would've thought Fox would set them at 2.0", and then up to user to adjust from there. I may have to call Fox Tech Support to find out what they come set at for ~height...

    Leveling Kit with 275/65

I ended up going with 285/60R20 Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascents on Fuel Variant 20x9 +1mm..for a ~0.75" lift..39.25" ground to fender. Next, installing Fox 2.5 PE DSCs and full Thuren suspension in next week or so and will set at Level+1" (~2.625" lift) which will be 40.25" ground to fender.

Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

That totally works! Looks like about 15-16 threads showing..I can work off of that. I'm trying to set mine for ~2.625-2.75" which will put me at ~40.25 with my 285/60R20s.
