Yes. He posted a pic of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. That is not Pennzoil SRT, as far as I know. I saw Pennzoil SRT when I was looking for oil. It said API-SN.
All the SRT Pennzoil I looked at (online) said it was API-SN.
The SST HO owner's manual explicitly calls out SN to NOT use it. It says to use API-SP or you CAN use API-SN+. But not API-SN.
Did you find SRT Pennzoil that is API-SP?
I had the same excitement about a new app version.
But, I suspect that the feature is already in the app - thus why there are at least 2 people that we know of that have it working - and it won't take a new version in order to see the digital key tile. I suspect that it's something in the...
I misunderstood this before. I thought you were saying that the '25 did not have the same hood as the '21.
Now I understand. You're saying that, in 2021 model year, the Limited was the only trim that had that hood.
That is not correct.
Even my '19 Laramie had that same hood. On the '19, that...
My RAM app got an update. It went from 1.98.3 to 1.98.4.
But, still no digital key tile and no Vent button (which I think I've seen mention of before).
This is on an iPhone.
I traded my '21 Limited (w/EcoDiesel) for my '25 Limited.
I have zero regrets. There is literally nothing that I liked better on the '21.
I have the same "vented" hood on my '25 that was on my '21.
I only used CarPlay for nav before, and that is still the case - but it's way better now...
No worries!
I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some phone # I could call to get my ability to use the phone as a key turned on.
I already can "access" the truck from the RAM app. I can remote start it, etc.. But, I don't see a "digital key" tile showing.
Apparently, they turned on the...
You didn't mention running the RAM app on your iPhone to pair it to the truck.
The RAM video on using a smartphone as a key is here:
It shows using the app and tapping the "digital key tile" in the app.
Did you do that? Or were you able to pair it some other way?
I will be prepared next time.
Also, from Amazon and Walmart, the Mobil 1 is a little less expensive than the Pennzoil.
The Mobil 1 is $24.97 for a 5 quart jug. $50 for two sounds a lot better than the $75 I paid yesterday at Napa...
I would be happy to use Mobil 1 or Pennzoil, so I'll go...
This is probably not news to any of y'all, but it was a pain in my @ss today.
Getting an oil change on an SST HO. That's what.
I have just over 5K miles on it now and wanted an oil change.
I went to my local dealer, pulled into the lane with the big sign that says "Express Lane" and went in...
Right. And the details of exactly that are what I was asking about and speculating about.
Like, just for example, can it pull it when the battery is at minimum SOC at the start, with max load (14K #), and maintain the speed limit (up that whole grade they talk about)?
I don't think a Pentastar...
Man, sorry. I was off to the races (in my mind) this morning! Yes. The 270 HP is the peak output from the generator. So, after conversion from mechanical to electricity.
That is my bad.
The normal Pentastar in a RAM is spec'ed at 305 HP, I think.
So, starting up that long grade, pulling 14K...
That is not the whole question, now, is it?
The question is what is the efficiency of converting the mechanical rotation power out of the ICE into electricity and then converting it back into mechanical rotation? It is not JUST the efficiency of the electric motor itself.
With a conventional...
Steve Jobs is "His Honor" and you're calling other people girly men?!?
If you didn't buy a Chuck Norris brand cover, you can go retrieve your little peanuts off the teacup shelf and let your wife put them back in her purse now.
With that cover on there, you can't even fit your Barbie Malibu...
You do realize that Power is Power, no matter what units you express it in? Kilowatts and Horsepower are just different units measuring the same thing. Power is Work done per unit of time. And Work is Force applied over a distance.
Horsepower (a specific unit of Power) is equal to Torque (in...
Okay, the 2nd video gave a bit more info. Thanks for that.
He said that on the long tow up that grade in CO, towing 14K#, and only running on the gas engine, it was able to pull the grade AND maintain the battery at 35% SOC.
They have also said that the ICE/generator can put out 202 kW, peak...
