Thanks for checking. No worries.
I haven't even received my radar detector yet. I'm going to wait and try it using the mount options that come with it before I decide what to do next.
I need to figure out if I want it up high, just under the rear view mirror, or down low just above the dash.
Yep. I had already read that. But, it's pretty general and doesn't really say anything except "higher is better for radar detection". But does that mean mounting low versus high costs you 1% of performance or 50%?
My gut says that a lot of people are making a big deal out of differences in...
Nobody has any input on whether the suction cup mount that it comes with is reliable to mount the RD to the windshield and just leave it there? Will it stay indefinitely, or is it just a matter of time until it comes loose and falls down?
I do wonder about the reception issue with it mounted right on the dash.
For example, if I'm cresting a hill with radar pointing at me from over the top on the other side, is the nose of my truck going to block reception of the radar signal, since it would be coming from a low angle.
Same idea...
I just had a good look at the Bulletpoint stuff and didn't see anything I like.
I do not want balls or ball clamps. I just want a platform to mount the V1 on top of.
I am thinking I would like to put a RAM Power Plate III magnetic mount on top of whatever platform I can find. Then, the V1...
That would definitely not work for my OCD. :)
I don't want to stick velcro to my dash. I don't want adhesive residue left behind whenever I eventually take the RD out and/or trade in the truck. Also, while the difference is probably miniscule, I'll feel better to have the RD positioned just a...
Thanks to @Marine6212 for posting me this link in another thread.
I'm going to try and make this thread be a place for future people in my position to find all the options in one place.

I just ordered a Valentine 1 Gen 2 for my '25 1500 Limited. Now I'm trying to figure out how I will mount it.
It seems like there are 3 basic options:
Top of Windshield
Under rear view mirror
On top of dash
Top of Windshield:
I could use the suction cup mount that comes with it to put it...
IIRC, I found a setting in the Uconnect (on my '25) to turn off showing directions in the EVIC (or whatever it's called now).
I don't care to see directions there AND on the Uconnect screen, so I turned that setting off. Now I don't get directions from Apple Maps, either.
I have the key card that came with the truck in my wallet.
My plan for once SPAAK is enabled for me, I will use SPAAK and the NFC card in my wallet will be my backup.
It doesn't seem to me that I would have any reason to carry the actual key fob.
Does your electronic key still show in the digital Wallet in your phone?
I have asked about this before and I am still curious for confirmation on whether SPAAK actually works without subscribing to the Assistance package for the RAM app/Uconnect. People have said it is SUPPOSED to work without...
That sucks! Well, maybe it sucks.
I don't have an active subscription. Will I see the digit key tile even without a subscription? Then just have to get the subscription to setup the key?
Or will the digital key tile not even show up without an active subscription? If it doesn't even show up...
But, did you do it in a spreadsheet with the cost of each line in there, and a Total at the bottom? :D
I've done that before. The Total always makes me unhappy. So, I don't do that anymore. LOL!
You could also possibly bite the bullet and leave the truck with them and tell them you're not taking it back until it is fixed. You can't use some of the important features if your touchscreen doesn't work.
If you bought a Mopar MaxCare warranty, they should give you a comparable loaner or...
I figure they still might not roll it out to everyone all at once.
What I would really like to see is a post from someone that does NOT have an active subscription, to say that the digital key tile DID show up in their app (with no subscription active).
I would not breathe the words Lemon Law unless and until you really ARE willing to take it that far.
Once you say "lemon law", you MAY get what you want. Or, they MAY just throw their hands up in the air and say "okay, if you're going to lemon law it, we're going to stop doing anything at all...
Referencing a well-known personal characteristic of a public figure has nothing to do with politics. Unless you bring politics into it.
What he said would be the same and equally valid no matter what background resulted in Kamala being a public figure. She could be the CEO of AARP and the...
