    Mid size trucks

Yes. This. Particularly on the GMC and Toyotas. And if you expect to have any rear passengers with legs, it isn’t a great setup back there. And now that all but the Frontier are Crew Cab Short bed configurations, they are all neither fish nor foul. Meaning cabs are too small for people...

    Rough ride

On a prior Bilstien setup, I had mounted a set of E range DuraTracs. They rode awfully and I really played around with air pressures since tires were the only thing that changed. Instinctively I aired way down to something like 32 to try to improve ride comfort, even through I knew it was way...

What did you do to your Ram today???

My natural instinct, similar to others, says too cold a transmission is not optimal. But I am not a transmission builder and you are. So I’m inclined to be open to your thoughts here. And since you seem to be a grown up who understands the risks and will fix issues if they arise, I’m keen to...

    Oil catch can

We have large volume DEF tanks on diesels and sensors to monitor levels, programming to elicit specific behaviors when empty etc. If there were a tangible benefit to emissions they’d find a way to do it. They’ve done far more and gotten less. Heck eTorque provides a far less tangible benefit...

key fob not needed, anyone can steal your truck!

This is also default behavior for the F150, but you can enable “cop mode” via ForScan wherein even if engine is running from a traditional start (not a remote start) you cannot place the transmission into gear without the fob present. Remote start already works that way. I wonder if it is...

    Rough ride

Unfortunately this aligns with my hypothesis going in. I’ve long heard the 2.0” Foxes do not have a similar ride signature to the 2.5” Foxes, and instead are rather firm, especially cranked to any material lift height. As for the noise based on description I keep thinking back to some type of...

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

Sticking with my assumption that it’s the exhaust supply. They will use GT exhaust on all Hemis but since Hemi now is not expected to be volume engine they aren’t going to run multiple iterations thereof, and the GT exhaust only ever came on the crew cab short/ 5’7” bed. They’re angling Hemi as...

    Rough ride

Any chance you think the noises would pick up on a video? Not sure what it would be. That’s a bummer to hear.

    Preferred Fuel System Treatment?

Ever replaced the spark plugs or cleaned the MAP sensors? I’d start there and see. If you’ve been using top tier fuel there isn’t much more a little bottle of additive can do other than relieve you of a few bucks.

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

I had suspected this... Tim K/Ram said that the G/T exhaust would come standard on every 5.7 Ram. That exhaust only ever was made for the Crew Cab Short Bed configuration. I doubted they'd engineer a version of the G/T exhaust for the LWB 6'4" bed option, so figured they'd either a) use the...

    Air Suspension Question

PS: I'd be really interested to ask that one tech how exactly he thought the Ram might know whether it is on dirt vs. pavement? That would be some impressive tire technology!

    Air Suspension Question

Glad we could zero in on the issue! A bummer a dealer couldn't come up with this. This is the "cheap & easy" way to lift air suspensions - popular on Jeeps and Land Rovers too. It's not a problem in & of itself to leave it as it is - the issue is only as you experienced, that you can't go...

    Air Suspension Question

First off, find a new dealer. Holy he!l! Either they are complete morons, or think you are one. Second, sounds like you bought the truck used. The issue you are describing happens when people use aftermarket links to give air suspension trucks a front end level. Basically the links trick the...

Ram’s Upcoming Midsize Pickup Will Be Body-On-Frame

Still keep an eye out for V8 Dakota’s. Hard to find any that aren’t beat to hell by owners 4 thru 8. Especially with a clutch pedal. Will be interested in seeing more about this for sure!

What did you do to your Ram today???

My cousin still owns a 95 Silverado his dad bought new, and I’m pretty sure the Bed Rug was installed in the late 90s. It looked great at a family BBQ just a couple months ago. Granted he babies that truck, but it’s held up amazingly in an open bed for more than 20 years. Have to assume they’ve...

Travel Trailer towing question, I apologize if it has been asked to many times.

One does not regard what the RV salesman says one’s truck may be capable of towing as anything remotely resembling truth, let alone prudent consideration. One calculates their specific truck’s maximum tow capability based on as-traveled configuration, then limits their trailer shopping to...

Tim Kuniskis to Lead Stellantis American Brands as SRT Returns

Man, I love this guy! They have to deliver of course, but from a marketing standpoint, they just keep hitting them out the park.

What did you do to your Ram today???

Ha! That’s exactly what I use but without ram boxes there is some gaps on the side, but that has never once mattered or been an issue.
