Sure sounds like there is still a fob in the truck, I don't know if dealer could have accidentally reprogrammed the system to falsely read one that wasn't present. Weird.
I encountered something similar on my last ram that I put aftermarket flares on. I ended up taking them off and heating them up a little bit, and then when I put them on I drilled an extra hole up in the fender well and put a screw and it made it better
