unfortunately that sure looks like a spacer lift in there and most likely is the cause of all your problems.
get that industrial junk off and fix the current issues and you should be fine
ah icons.
first off, they can and have the greater chance of premature leak than say Fox 2.5 or Kings. or sheering pin tops. or sheering billet UCAs. i absolute hate icon because I've dealt with the same sh*t problems for my customers way too many times, so anytime icon pops up i start with...
are you ready to go down a path of no return?
as in, are you ready to:
cut the lower arm mounts on the frame so you can fit diff drop
unable to fit any existing proven aftermarket skid plate systems (ie, RCI)?
unable to get proper suspension performance, even if you go with BDS Fox 2.5?
doing...
sounds like a set of Fox 2.5 PE should take care of that problem lol
can crank the knobs to make it softer, and then crank the knobs the other way when you need to remove body roll in the canyons.
i think in my case it was actually 1:1 or something, 1 full collar turn is like 0.25" so 4 full collar turns is 1". something like that I can't remember right now LOL
it is better to do it by removing it first. I tried to cheat by jacking up the front and give the wheels full droop and that...
alslo, if anyone looking at suspensionmaxx sway bar end links to go wiith their Fox 2.5, feel free to go for it.
I F*CKED up on my end link install and F*CKED the bushings (i didn't read instruction and therefore, I didn't see the torque instruction) and went to run Henderson to Laughlin race...
you'll be fine lol
helll, good thing you don't wheel/ play in the desert or else the next thing you want is LT and bypasses, not Eibach or some other ones lol
ah
yeah the commuter can be a good fit for you. I know why Don is not a big fan of Fox, but I am not at liberty to disclose. For me personally though, Fox has gotten so big with OE applications that "aftermarket" support is bad. Really bad. For instance, I was told by Fox "one spin" on the...
check your nitrogen level. Sometimes they come undercharged. Mine was.
I also bumped mine up to 250psi, way past what Fox calls for but the seals can handle much higher pressure.
i drove the Carli Performance King 2.5 few times after I install them for customers.
They do ride firmer than Fox 2.5 PE on my "street" setting (1H, Max Low) with the stock fox springs.
Unless you're hitting speed bumps or your roads are really bumpy, my butt dyno tells me Fox would be better...
why do you want to go 3.5-4"?
there's ZERO BENEFITS for going 3.5 or 4". like Cheyenne71 said, more than 3.5" will require permanent cut to your frame (lower arm mounting points on the frame will need to be removed for diff drop) and offer NO additional ground clearance.
Even at 3.5" you ride...
yeap fox PE comes with 450lb. After doing the swap I see why they are not offered/ advertised on the website anymore becuase it is legit a pain in the as* to do.
for the king questions just wait and see what Don says. I mean, even though you're building a poser but with all the technical...
