drivetrain itself should be fine.
if you run aggressive negative offset then you may/ can/ potentially will premature wear your bearings.
if you run mild offsets then you should be fine.
ran scrub blade for a year. great for dust and mud from offroading, and awesome for bugs and such from road trip.
scrub blade was what I ran when I did that 15k miles road trip to Alaska and Tuktoyaktuk last year and they were great.
this year I am running Bosche (forgot what model) only...
build another garage and put in a lift, then you'll be the go-to guy for all your neighbors' automotive needs!
and yeah play around all that for a bit and see what happens.
no pic but picked up my new Alienware AW3425DW, Corsair 1000W PSU, RTX 5070ti in the cab.
in the bed:
My KR9 to put on Zentico handguards
Sight tools to help my friends swap iron sights to night sights for their glocks
RTX 3080ti, 32" IPS screen, and Corsair 750w PSU dropped off at friend's...
perhaps stealth camp is not the right term to describe but it is what it is.
through my extended trip last year i was told people getting chased out of parking lots with pop-ups, but those in sprinter vans and RVs were left alone.
oh wells.
have you tried steel-it?
with proper prep work they work really well and when applied properly, the protection layer will be infused to the metal so even if the paint chips off it's still protected from the elements.
without proper prep work they're just like regular paint can come off and have...
oh since you mentioned 30-60 day or longer trips, another thing to consider is the ability to stealth camp.
that is when sprinter comes very handy. During my Alaska and Canada trip, I realized a low-vis vehicle like a sprinter can be real beneficial to extended trips because they allow for...
oh yeah nothing beats being alive!
going out is all about the experience, the point is getting out to experience different things. all the other things are just "if i can make my time better and i can afford it (or borrow money on other people's dime - aka, 0% interest) then why not"
i always...
very nicely done!
i told ya you wouldn't be disappointed! (also told ya it's not fun to do it on the ground - assuming you did it on the ground - but if you can do it on a lift then that makes it a lot more enjoyable process)
i think 2psi in the back can help a bit but not much. I ran 40 PSI all...
they need blankets, or see if they have self-heating ones.
If i move to somewhere that is really cold then I'll have to swap the LiFEPO4 in the bed (that powers my camper lights, run my laptop and diesel heater) to a self-heating unit.
hahaha thanks.
tbh i wasn't really bummed about the canons being stolen... ive been thinking about sony alpha for a while anyways LOL (hence i called it "god's plan")
but put them miles on and send it!
to go "camping" you don't need much. Heck, a simple coleman tent and a simple coleman bag is all you need.
and that's what I did, all the way till 5 years ago.
then saw roof top tent and it all went from there. Once I experienced sleeping on the roof and not worrying about where I pitch the...
ah reason why im not married hahaha
actually no, if i was married i'd be looking at sprinter vans with wet bath and leave my truck fully desert truck lol
also, be sure to find out if those hard side foldable campers are considered hard side or pop-up. Some places only allow camping for...
ultralight weight hard shell camper top?
GFC is the only correct solution
https://gofastcampers.com/
half price of a Hiatus, ~300lb weight, structural rigidity to handle high speed offroad and jumps (aka, overkill for your typical needs), 100% made in US using US sourced parts. Also constantly...
yes that's what i thought in the beginning, but then it'd be wild for a mass producer to make things of different spec on the same line. that doesn't really make sense to me.
hence, IF the OE ones are made in china, i think they are from a certain factory that make OE spec things, and all the...
i see. i ran LiFEPO4 on my 5th gen 4Runner before for about half a year or so and didn't get any problem, but then that was one with less CANBUS than our trucks and less computer intensive rig.
