I did rough country as well. Quick, easy and you can do it yourself again if you change sizes for whatever reason. Be sure to input the “measured tire height”, not what the company says the height is. My 285/70r18 say they’re 33.98, measured all 4 at exactly 33.0 and it was throwing off my...
It’s a good idea to swap them out if you plan on off-roading or any type of articulation that may cause UCA to come to full droop. People level the trucks and say the UCA looks fine, which while on pavement it does. The issue is maxing your suspension causing your UCA to swing down and busting...
Ride quality over washboards around 45 mph is good. I can really feel the suspension work when I hit bigger dips. Around town feels fine with no bottoming out. Biggest factor for me right now is playing with the tire pressure. Some guys on here were saying run your tires at 40-45 on road, 30-35...
Hey everyone!!
Leaving California and taking the wife and kids to Bryce Canyon, Utah in a couple days for some camping, hiking and so on. Wife said I get 1 day fully dedicated to fishing so I’m doing my homework ahead of time trying to find little creeks, lakes so on. Looking to mainly fly fish...
Ya I agree. It’s a balance of mph and comfort. 38-40psi is the perfect range for me I think. I’ve heard when towing to bump the rear up to 50psi so the it doesn’t eat up the tread.
I’m sure this has been answered a ton but my eyes hurt from reading through all the previous threads. So thanks in advance for any help.
Finally pulled the trigger on a 24ft travel trailer I pick up Wednesday. Dry weight of 5400, tongue weight 500. I have the bilstein 6112s up front with 5100s...
First day off-roading with the new 6112s and ridge grapplers at the Palomar Divide. I use the term “off-roading” loosely since it’s mainly Fire service roads but some fun washboards and a couple 4x4 areas.
I just had mine put on clip 8 yesterday. Ride is great. Responsive, less bouncy, truck seems to correct itself quickly after a hard turn or hitting big bumps. I love it so far. Looking to hit some trails soon to test the mid range hopefully
Finally got the 6112s installed at setting 8 with Mopar UCAs. Added a 1 inch spacer to the rear along with 5100s. 285/70r18 Ridge Grapplers. Ride is great. Feels more responsive. Tires feel a little more rough, they’re inflated to 43 psi. May bring them down a little. UCA angle looks alright I...
Carli, icon, fox dcs, even bilstein 6112s will allow you to do all that. I think the biggest thing to remember is knowing the limitations of your equipment and your experience level. Even the most solid setups can break at some point.
Dig through the search function for those companies. A lot...
