Thanks for the reply and info. The Shop Manager basically told me it was a CYA issue and they do it with every vehicle they work on that still has a warranty.
Pretty reliable and highly rated shop , recommended to me by several people where I live.
Okay I think I've drove myself crazy listening to sound clips on Borla, Magnaflow and Flowmaster. 99% sure I'm going with the Borla S-Type, like many on here have stated the ATAK sounds so much better. But I have to be sensible and compromise a little. So a couple of questions please for the...

Congrats on the purchase, nice truck. Go to the search bar and type in Magnaflow, Flowmaster and B2. There will be plenty of reading material with some sound clips as well. You can also go to you tube as they have a lot of sound clips there.
Oh okay gotcha, I thought you were saying the wheel liners would cause paint damage. My Bushwhacker Fender Flares were installed a few weeks ago so too late for that.
I would go with 2 colors, deep red ( maroon / burgundy ) thick line on top and a gray thin line underneath. That would look sharp to me. Obviously my truck is a different color but may give you an idea on how to get it done.
