Anyone else Frustrated with Tow Package removing features?

That's a 2018. I assume he was talking about the new ones, the 2019. Also not having heat but having power folding is even dumber than not having either almost.

What did you do to your Ram today???

Yeah, it's shockingly better at night. It's almost blinding. I didn't realize they didn't come on when backing up so I was expecting better illumination on reverse...I also didn't realize it was a pain to change out the rear reverse bulbs and not as simple as the 3rd brake light/CHMSL. I don't...

TFL Trucks: "2019 Ram Rebel MPG Redemption? ..." (2019 Rebel, eTorque and 3.92)

That's a great point. Even a new truck not broken in driving in the city should get MUCH better MPG than the same truck (his had 3k miles only also, so it's new too) towing 7400 lbs in mountainous areas in snow with some 4WD used! Combination of impressive towing MPG and poor non honestly it...

    Horrific Gas Mileage Hemi eTorque

I get 10.5 also. Got all the TSBs done, top tier gas (89), NEVER mash the accelerator and drive conservatively, 95% stop and go, short trip suburb city driving. I was doing the math that if it got 15 MPG, I would be ecstatic. So let's compare with analysis to make me feel better about my 10.5...

What did you do to your Ram today???

I used these https://amzn.to/2G71DsB and it was also very simple plug and play and much brighter. Just make sure to seat the plastic back in nicely to avoid leaks into the cab. FWIW, these are 2000 lumens and the others posted were 1550, both of which are much brighter than stock so not sure if...

    Rear wheel house liners

I am tracking none of the trims come with them. It would be on the window sticker specifically added as an option if you did. I think it's $195.

Replacing my TOW mirrors with Power Folding - 10% Cyber Monday

We are all tracking this. I meant all black TOW MIRRORS are unheated, not all black mirrors. I fully realize had I not gotten tow mirrors, I'd have your mirrors (as I want). I will live. First world problems, I am very aware.

Standard Fuel Tank Size for Rebel

Maybe they learned the lesson and gave the 26 gallon tank to newer builds. This is the problem with being an early adopter. You get it first but you don't get the benefit of the lessons learned.

Replacing my TOW mirrors with Power Folding - 10% Cyber Monday

The chrome tow mirrors are heated on higher trims. All black ones aren't. Why? I have no idea.

    Rebel Gas Hog

Few threads on this already. I will save you the time: some say it matters (like me), some say it doesn't. Both sides have tested it. I am of the opinion if they ask you to put in 89, it's better for the engine (certainly long-term). I noticed an improvement in fuel economy too.

Standard Fuel Tank Size for Rebel

Good call. I think the 26 was something the dealer could order somehow or it came with the eTorque early on as you said. I think they switched to 23 for eTorque and 26 for non as we already discussed earlier so they'd have similar ranges since the eTorque was supposed to get better MPG.

Standard Fuel Tank Size for Rebel

Quad cab is the reason I believe. Crew cab Rebels with eTorque will be 23.

    Rebel Gas Hog

Every other Ram 1500 trim has much better fuel economy tires and usually gets better fuel economy. The Rebel is only unique in the 1" lift (same as the ORP on other trims), which isn't going to crush fuel economy as much as the tires I'd imagine. It is no wonder the Rebel gets the worst fuel...

    Knob decal

That's funny. It looked identical to the one I sent to her (makes sense since we have the same truck).

    Knob decal

That is my actual truck. I took that picture and sent it to the decal maker. It's legit. Recommended! Pro tip: order one at 1.5" and one at 1.43". She offers a 1.5 and 2" by default, but 2" is way too large. The one in that photo is 1.43". I actually measured it and asked her to not send me the...

    Question about passenger seat

Without a doubt. Billet silver two-tone is the only other one I'd buy.

Ordering soon and have some questions so I'm prepared.

I mean that it isn't hard and it is, as you described, semi-pleather. Not sure how well it would hold up to anyone who wanted to break into it with just a knife or with the weight of a significant snowfall is all.

Ordering soon and have some questions so I'm prepared.

Few thoughts on your added equipment: 1. The factory tri-fold tonneau cover is just cloth and not very robust. I got the Mopar one which is a Bakflip M4 rebranded as Mopar and it's awesome. I was lucky as I wanted the factory cover but didn't have the option at my dealer with what was on the...

    Question about passenger seat

I have never noticed this as an issue at all. I have never remarked that I wish the passenger seat sat higher with the wife or kids in the front. This is a very minor issue, even if it were an issue for you, to leave the Rebel for another trim. There is so much more substantive difference that...

    Fold down rear seat?

If you folded the seats UP you could sleep on the floor. Folded down in normal seated position, could still sleep on it for sure. Tons of room.
