well built, very nice hoses, solid piece so I can't complain. Clearly works too. If it'll keep my engine clean even a little, it's worth it to me.
Installed a catch-can about a 1000 miles ago. Checked it, and low and behold, got a decent amount of "catch" - probably 3 ounces. I keep my cars for a long time (previous car was 19 years old with 340k miles) so I figure it can't be bad to keep the engine as clean as possible.
glad to see these. I was torn between these and the Continental TerrainContact AT's. I ultimately went with the Conti's because of their slightly more AT nature. But I literally was a mouse click away from getting the Steadfasts. Look forward to hearing how they play out.
I followed these steps. The only difference is that I removed the engine cover (because its super easy), and I also had to cut the tubing short for a clean installation.
UPDATE: so after many miles driven, the tires are rolling smooth and quiet. I'm pretty sure the previous tires were the original Goodyear Eagle whatevers with 60K+ on them. The 275/50s do barely kiss my Husky flaps at full lock while in Aero mode, most notable while reversing out of a driveway...
So far so good. Quiet and smooth. I'll always take more sidewall if possible and this is about as much as you can get with the OEM 22's and stock suspension. I have a thread in the "wheels and tires" area for more specifics. I gotta give it at least 1 tank of gas before I sign off on any MPG...
After exhaustive research (and a refusal to go the route of Nitto Grapplers like everybody else hahaha) I went with Continental TerrainContact ATs in 275/50 22's. It's only been a day, but so far good. Will update as things progress. Lemme know what'cha think.
I'd love a roof rack, but I'm 100% not taking a drill to the vehicle. I assume there are no factory mounts. Maybe someday these trucks will come with OEM mounting points.
I was 100% going to get airlinks, but after living with the vehicle for a few months now, I think I'm going to leave things be. I can already tell a MPG difference between keeping it set to "Aero" vs. "Normal" over time, so having it set to OR1-height as default would be even worse. I don't...
For sure. I'm sure Bulletpoint has an option for some kind of camera. My only hesitance would be location. I would think its way too low for a camera. The dash and hood are going to dominate the field of view, unless you want to run some super long arm extensions. For cameras, you want them as...
Search Amazon for B0C744K6LR. its been great. Extra cool points for the fiber wrap that totally blends into my Limited trim! Oh and yes, using the 70W charger (search for B0BM41ZLH9) does "super charge" my Samsung Galaxy S22, which makes for a stupid fast recharge rate.
I ended up having to source a 2ft cable. They're tricky to find as most are either 1 or 3ft. 1 was too short for my application as I have the "long" 10cm arm and the 3ft was way to much slack, and my OCD wouldn't allow for that 😅 . But overall it's by far the best set up for these trucks.
Pro...
Just curious, for those that have the weathertech window vent shades, where does the bottom edge contact the door? Mine sort of ride in the rubber stripping which doesn't seem awesome.
I have weathertech vent shades on my Pacifca and they rest on top of the chrome trim, and that makes more...
it uses a USB cable, which means you would need to put an adapter in the 12v outlet that's on top of the dash and then run a cable to the charging base.
With all the different variants of ditch-light mounts out there, do we know which are the lowest profile? Many setups I've seen in real life have the light pods popped up like meercats. Not only does it look tacky, it would likely obscure part of the drivers vision, which kind of defeats the...
