I don't know where you read this or why you keep repeated it as it simply isn't true. Hell, to read here, the HEMI doesn't have the duty cycle of a iron block NA V8.
GM has been using aluminum blocks for years without issues as have BMW and Toyota and meanwhile, GM cant keep the iron block 6.2...
470 vs 410 tq is indeed a significant power improvement and something you'll definitely feel in a truck. The HP is that different but HP is for people that dont know. Torque is what's really doing the work and king
Ram has only been posting the 5.7 coming back. I saw on the Ram truck site that they announced a Black Express Edition but Ive seen nothing else

I get you and that's a valid argument. For me, I don't need or want 4x4 and etorque has improved my mpg in city driving with zero negatives. Moot point though as it's not an option for the Tungsten and 4x4 currently is and it (etorque) will be on the 5.7 in the lower trim trucks and again, no...
The MFT I could live with, the Ram boxes likley as well. The only thing I really dont like are the 3.92 and 4x4 both of which I'll likley have to live with as well but I hope its and option by then
I'd be willing to bet actual etoruqe failures are very low. I have 93K miles on mine and never an issue, I see more 4x4 failure complaints here than I do etorque failures/complaints
I cant see buying a 5.7 truck over the HO or the SO either. I like the HEMI, I have 93K on my etorque truck now with no issues but it feels underpowered. The only way to make the 5.7 better is with some boost, nothing else done to it will significantly improve power without hurting economy or...
I think the letter writing is going to be needed for the 6.4, I doubt there will be anything other than the 5.7(and etorque at that) as a base and the two 3.0's for higher trims
The 6.4 doesn't make any power, I don't see that as an upgrade. 410hp vs 395hp and 429tq vs 410tq, you're not going to feel that.
Now, if they put the car 6.4 in the truck, that's different but I'm guessing the Tq in the car 6.4 doesn't suit a 5500-6500K truck well
I had noticed some rough shifting also. Looks like the drive shaft was binding up and causing that as well because that's now gone which tells me that it wasn't the transmission shifting rough but the drive shaft binding up and then suddenly releasing tension
Took the driveshaft out and greased it up again; the notorious bump when stopping came back after about 40k miles since last time. 30 minutes in and out, done.
Grease pretty much worn away and the rear of the shaft looked dry
I did notice some wear marks that weren't there previously, I...
