I dont think its worth it to me, I have a 20 Limited that was involved in an accident in Aug (flashing left turn driver failed to yield and hit me and 2 others), it's still in the shop and now stands at 16K in repairs. I had planned on driving it for 2 more years, the remaining warranty, with no...
It was in the garage at the time of that pic, car spent a over year outside in the sun waiting for a new engine. No tint on any windows and it has had leather protectant on it up until the time i discovered that it may cause issues with the adhesive. Leather doesn't actually shrink, its...
Not true. I have a C5 Z06 with an Apsis leather dash; has been in the car for 12-13 years and not one sign of trouble. Its the glue used and chemicals used on the dash.
Its about a day and a half job.
I had the AC TSB done which requires the dash come out, that took 3 days.
When they good willed the dash, it took about 2 days. They told me about 8-10 hours over 2 days. You can buy the updated dash, better adhesive and more of it, for around $490-590. The cost...
Same here but after I spent some time aligning them, I like the usefulness of them. I still don't like that you cant get the truck without them or the 3.92's but I'm over that and yeah, no seasalt interior on 26's, just black
I dont like them at all and sought out a truck without them.
I found a couple trucks optioned the way I wanted aside from the tow mirrors and considered them because the price was 2-3k better than same equipped trucks with regular mirrors.
I had decided that I was going to buy a set of regular...
The mileage is irrelevant, it appears to me to be heat cycles, the adhesive and protectants used on the dash. As for other makes having the same issue, see this thread. Ferrari to Chevy has the very same issues Im on corvette forum as well, almost everyone with a 3LZ car has dash problems with...
Every manufacturer has the same issue with leather dashes, it's not unique to Ram or stellantis in general.
Take it in be polite and ask for a Goodwill repair. They are aware of the problem, they replace mine. Many threads about this
The differences are the black only interior for MY26 and the 10/100 warranty.
People are still randomly reporting the same issues on 26's that they've had in 25's, no different than people with 24's still reporting the same issues as those with 19-20's.
The 10/100 warranty would have been a...
Isn't the rear bumper just paint, not powder coated?
You'd need to sand the area or scuff it with a red scotch brite pad
Yes, use adhesion promoter and I'd use a sealer too, it makes the paints bond to the surface stronger
PPG is a good paint, use a coating to get UV/A protection
IDK that Id go...
I don't know if they do or not but I do know that rock chips on the front bumper probably isn't the best gauge as to a problem.
That said, I have seen a difference on my 2020 Limited vs my 2025 Tungsten. My Limited's paint seemed softer and got swirls far easier than the 25. I paint corrected...
IDK about that, I painted cars before the waterborne paint mandate, solvent based paint chipped too. No paint, not even powder, coat is going to withstand 30-70 mph rock hits
