I've used the suction cup method in the past. You're saying you can just tilt the glass down and pry the clips up top? Are the clips visible? I'm talking about the smaller, non-tow mirrors, if that matters.
Having had both, I slightly prefer the EcoDiesel I had in my 2021. Great efficiency, actually felt/sounded like a diesel (my friend's GMC I6 baby Duramax is weirdly quiet for a truck), and I didn't find the EcoD laggy at all. The low end torque was great for effortless driving up to about 50...
Well, MSRP on just about every Mopar vehicle is up about 15% - 1500 prices in particular are insane considering you can option one over $80K. Rebates are nowhere near what they used to be either. A well-equipped Limited could be had for under $60K OTD, and now it'll run you closer to $80K...
Nice! Hadn't heard of anyone installing the 12" in an older vehicle like that. I did have personal experience doing an upgrade with a 2016 Charger Hellcat where I upgraded to the 2017+ uConnect (current gen 8.4") and that went without much of a hitch... though I remember reading guys with 2015s...
It's not pointless. The OLM warns you ahead of time to schedule service. And once it hits 0%, it starts going into the negatives, so you are made aware just how far you went over if you actually bother to check.
Even though his tests aren't lab quality, I think there is still value to them. His wear scar/film strength tests are consistent. No, it's not an engine, but wouldn't film strength be just as relevant in an engine as it is on his test bench?
The oil life monitor will never go over 10K... why would they program it to do that when they specifically state 10K is the longest you are allowed to go between changes? I have consistently seen my % tick down consistent with a 10K change interval. It is when you are running it hard and idling...
I think it was likely caused by heat cycling. Temperature fluctuations on the dash can be extreme when parked outside in the sun, so use a sunshade to cut down on that dramatically. This is not uncommon in the auto industry for leather dashboards.
You should have read the actual contract that...
Everyone will have their own opinion on this. I personally have not bought into any pro-grade coating. They all fail eventually, and rarely do they meet their advertised durability. Optimum makes good products, but their durability has always been lacking, so I'd avoid that. Any coating...
Interesting it shows as available since December, but this is the first mention I've seen of it and it only has 2 reviews. There was another aftermarket filter on Amazon, but it had bad reviews for causing oil pressure issues. EcoGuard's last-gen EcoD engine filter has great reviews, so I'm...
Both. And while coils have a more car-like ride, some people prefer the stability/feeling of leaf springs for hauling & towing. I wouldn't call it "4 independent coils" though - the rear axle is still solid. Yes, there are 4 coils, but indepedent is used to describe a suspension that allows each...
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is NOT your lifetime MPG. The onboard computer has no way of tracking lifetime MPG. The trip computer MPG is a rolling average of the last 500~ miles, regardless of how many miles you have on the current trip. The ONLY way to track your MPG is to manually do...
Yes. Any basic OBD tool that connects to your phone via WiFi combined with a decent app (I use CarScanner) will show you some of this information. When I watched stats on my 2020 5.7 w/ eTorque (prior to trading for an EcoD), I noticed the pack voltage hovered around 44V and typically stayed...
I have owned several 5th gen 1500s and all of them have been the same - blower always runs harder than most vehicles. When it's near the target temperature, of course if slows down, but as you said it's definitely not a trickle of air coming out unless you manually set the fan speed to 1.
You will have to make an effort to keep the seats clean and protected. Even then, it will likely discolor/darken over time. I wouldn't be as concerned about that as I would be the quality issues. There have been numerous posts of people having the top layer of leather/color peel and chip away...
The wireless chargers in Mopar vehicles seem to be trash. My truck and wife's Pacifica suck. They barely add charge and make the phone hot... seems like more energy is being wasted as heat than charging the battery.
Why not? Part of why we pay for insurance is to cover against unexpected damage. Comprehensive pretty much covers everything except collisions with vehicles/property. Was a little challenging explaining what happened over the phone to start the claim, but that's it - the adjuster was completely...
