Backcountry is two-tone paint. Lower part is Diamond Black Crystal. Not possible to order in a single color.
The paint does continue along the side behind the rear bumper. Renderings are never accurate.
I debated on the Backcountry because of the black paint and wheels. However the value is outstanding if you want what's in the package. I wanted the locker diff ($545), Bed Utility Group ($845), rubber floor mats ($135) and a center console ($595). Those alone add up to over $2100, so for less...
This thread is long overdue to be closed by the moderators. However I may as well do my part to get to 2,000 posts.
Regarding Scotch vs. whiskey... Whiskey spelled with an 'e' is generally only used in Ireland and the US. I'm in the mood for a quick history lesson on the origins of whiskey with...
I actually offered to leave a deposit with my local dealer and they declined. I don't think they have any worries about selling it if I change my mind.
I did a quick check and the first mention I could find of the charging pad is in the Limited Longhorn trim as part of the Longhorn Level 1 equipment group. It isn't part of the Backcountry package and I don't believe it can be optioned on a Big Horn. Someone may know more about which trims it's...
I'm in central IL. I started calling the dealers around me to ask if they would honor Affiliate Rewards on an order. I stopped after 3 responded yes (all dealers in smaller towns) and 1 no (not surprisingly from the larger dealer in a city).
I'm very happy getting 1% off invoice plus rebates...
For what it's worth, yesterday I asked RamCares and provided my VIN. They got back to me today and confirmed the Quad Cab Backcountry I ordered on 3/28 will include the "black tubular side steps".
I'm still waiting for the dealer to hear back from their rep, but I'm not holding my breath for that.
To expand on what you mentioned, limited slip differentials (LSD) typically do not go to 100% lock up. They are usually rated in percent, for example 40% lock up, which means the wheel with more traction (the one not spinning) receives up to 40% of the torque from the wheel without traction.
Every window sticker I've seen for a Backcountry (Quad and Crew) mentions "Pick–Up Box Lighting" which is part of the BUG. All the stickers also have the black side steps too. But your right, the bed lighting isn't mentioned in the package on the Ram website configurator. I did discover that the...
Well apparently RAM can delete things out of a package and not lower the price!
Anyway, I agree supply issues are fluid. Just makes it tough when ordering a new vehicle seems to be the future, but there's no way to know what you may end up with when it shows up.
I just ordered a Backcountry Quad Cab. I was viewing the order screen during the configuration process. We noticed that the description for Backcountry in the order guide didn't mention the black step rails but confirmed it said they were included on the website describing the package. Tonneau...
There are Backcountry Quad Cabs listed out there and they all have step bars, so they are (or were) part of the package.
What I don't understand is why the package is the same price if they're no longer included. The step bars MSRP for $695 so that makes the Backcountry package a significantly...
