Built to serve were pretty limited production wise. Other than that, for the average person both trucks are plenty capable. I'd go BTS personally for the rarity factor.
The factory rep apparently told my dealer it was the backcountry package holding up my build, which was ordered just a few days prior to you. They gave an estimated build date of 12/8 for mine. Notnsure exactly why the backcountry would be the issue as they are building plenty of trucks with ORG...
Ordered Aug 3rd as well amd have been told next month as a build date...you have more options than I do but I was told its the backcountry package holding me up lol wild
I can't do all the chrome on the limited personally but they come standard with air suspension, spray in bedliner, premium lighting, uconnect 12
I would imagine they cut off premium lighting on big horns having taken into account how many they need for current builds knowing they don't have...
So the dealer spoke to the factory rep and they said the backcountry package is the holdup. The factory shows a tentative build date of December 8th. Dealer says it doesn't show that in his system but that's what he was told by the factory rep. So hopefully I'll have a truck by the end of the...
Called my dealer who said his manager is having a conference call this afternoon to get info on the holdup on the sold orders. He checked and only found 4 backcountries on dealer lots in the entire country. I expect a phone call this evening or tomorrow with an update.
Hate to ask and be a bother, can you check backcountry builds? Wanna see if they are over 200 yet or if there is an obvious issue with why they aren't building more.
Not a single backcountry built yet for a forum member that I'm aware of. Cam anyone think of a logical reason they aren't building them in any quantity really? Just trying to wrap my head around what the holdup might be.
I just called ram customer service to speak to a real person. She couldn't pull up my truck with the vin I have and said she would have to have a corporate supervisor contact me about it. So now there is that.....yet ram chat was saying scheduling phase.
Backcountry 8/3 order here, not much hope. Last I saw under 200 backcountries built, and only 34 big horns with air suspension which I'd guess none are backcountries.
