Ethanol has about 2/3 the energy of gasoline. The higher % ethanol, the worse the mileage. E10 and E15 are roughly 4% and 5% less miles per gallon (E85 is about 25% less).
I can understand the disappointment but if the manufacturer requires proof of purchase for a warranty claim, how is that horrible customer service?
The Extang warranty is good for the original purchaser only. Without the receipt, how would they know who you are? Did you register the warranty...
I've been happy with the vinyl lug nut covers from ColorLugs. They're cheap and look good enough for something I spend zero time looking at.
What did you do to your Ram today???
Since this thread is for the Backcountry and air ride suspension is not available on the Big Horn there's really no point in looking at the leveling kit for air ride or the specs for it. All I know is the Readylift website says the two non-air ride options are not for use on trucks that are...
As far as I can tell, Readylift makes no leveling kits for the Backcountry (Off Road Group) Big Horn. They list three options - air suspension, standard suspension, preload spacers. Both the standard suspension and preload spacer versions state: Not for use on trucks that are factory...
I've read all the issues with trying to level the front of Off Road Package (ORP) optioned trucks. Not really interested in spending a bunch of $$$ to level it. I'm wondering if lowering the rear by installing the standard springs might be the way to go.
If the topper is still a current ARE model, I'd try contacting the manufacturer directly to see if they'd sell you a replacement door. I've had good luck with that working in the past.
Even if you were able to unbend it enough to latch I doubt it would ever be right - leak, etc.
Amen. I ended up buying Backcountry Crew because it was not much more than the Quad Cab I ordered due to the price increases and Ram de-contenting the step bars from the Quad Backcountry but keeping the package price the same.
Plus I had to buy the foam cupholder door inserts too. Still bitter...
And replace that nasty washer around the valve. I don't understand why the companies that sell stuff like this cheap out on the hardware that ends up looking like that in a very short time.
While looking for more pictures of the fender vents, I saw the front bumper overlay that Air Design makes. I guess it's unique? I don't like how it's designed to fit with the front air dam. The fake skidplate look... Ugh
Found a better picture of what the Air Design "cut a big hole" fender vent looks like. The cutting makes it a nonstarter for me. The raw black plastic looks a bit cheapo to me. Maybe painted?
My Backcountry Bighorn crew has the under-seat storage box. There's no mention of it on the window sticker.
I thought it might be included as part of the in-floor storage bins that are included in the Bighorn Level 2 Equipment Group.
