Sticker price was $49,500 for fully loaded Bighorn Crewcab (minus LED lights and bed group). Paid $35,000 after taxes. Put $20,000 down and financed the rest at 1.97%.
So I've noticed on a few occasions while gently on the throttle to gain speed on the highway my truck seems to "sputter", if you will, but if I give it more gas it stops. It's almost as if it doesn't know which gear to go into on the slight acceleration but once I punch it, it makes up its mind...
Awesome write up and I agree with you on the "easiest oil change" comment, spark plugs..... not so much. Just curious though, why did you change your oil at 1,000? I'm at 2,100 and plan on changing my oil at 5,000.
I went with the V6 because it was all I needed. With the 3.55 gearing and 8 speed this Pentastar is no joke. I get 21 combined mpg and only have 2100 miles on it. My Fathers 2016 EcoDiesel averages around 23 mpg combined. I don't tow and I don't street race so the V6 is plenty good for me.
Unfortunately the throttle body took a **** on me today. GPE said they will send me a new unit. I was a bit shocked at the throttle bodies premature failure. I will report back when I get the new one in.
It's the same size as the old Throttle body, it's just been bored out to 80mm, look at the picture that shows them side by side and you will see it. As far as my custom intake goes, check out my thread under the 3.6L Pentastar.
Hello y'all,
I received my 80mm GPE Throttle Body today, took me about 10 minutes to install it and everything works as it should. Haven't had any check engine lights, truck idles smoother (assuming because the negative terminal of the battery was disconnected), seems more peppy when paired...
Also I thought I already posted an update but the parts weren't available until minimum July 2020 maximum October 2020, so I took the $450. They let me apply it directly to my truck for this month, oddly enough I was still billed my usual monthly payment but my balance has been adjusted.
