The HEMI V8 Is Back: 2026 Ram 1500 Brings Power and Choice

Until they bring out the 6.4 ... there is always something left to complain about! Does anyone understand that decision? They stuff that 6.4 in the Jeep GC, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Durango, Chrysler 300. The WRANGLER gets it, the most useless engine upgrade ever...

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

You're the one posting in a thread you want to pretend you care less about than me. And nobody said "worry". The word I used was "curious".

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

Ford lightning, that's a little drastic don't you think? Install an oil filter relocation kit. Like $200 for the parts, maybe an hour labour from a good mechanic, and you never have to worry about this again.

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

As of now, this poll result looks like a middle finger lol. Ironic on a thread discussing "offensive language".

    Oil Sample Analysis

I've used Blackstone about 9 times now but it's weeks, month to month and half before getting any results back. Shouldn't really matter as it's not time sensitive but I seem to be getting more impatient 🤷‍♂️ Might have to switch. Edit: i'd love to read the report also if you don't mind sharing.

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

This is kind of what I was getting at with this thread; saying "your truck is used as a grocery getter" is not the same as saying "WTF did you buy a truck for? You should buy an EV instead you terrible human". The first is a simple fact, the second is attempted shaming, they're not the same...

Ram’s Latest Tease Hints at the Return of a Legendary Street Truck

The DRL's in the top image looks 1000 times better than the bottom one. Both trucks are just renderings, but the bottom one looks like real headlights in the 5th gens, and the top one looks like what it should have been (without the silly frosting); just two thin-ish razor sharp white lines. I...

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

This is true. I've been called out for "hauling air" most of the time 🤷‍♂️ Greenies. They want me to buy an EV and rent a truck when I need one. Not a chance.

You're mixing the threads up, I said that in the other one. But yes I am moving on. 🛻

Do I need a sway bar?

That's great! So you probably benefit from this kind of thing much less than someone who is new. Hard disagree.

    Active Grill Shutter Removal

That's not what I said. Reread the posts. And you make the choice to be insulted, you don't have to be. Someone disses your truck, carry on and get over it. Neither did I. Where are you getting 240 from? Nobody has any idea why you're arguing.

Do I need a sway bar?

I think it's clear you're incapable of following the logic. It's also clear you have not experimented with any of this but you're going to leave your opinion anyway, and that's fine. I made my point, I'm moving on.

Is the term "grocery getter" offensive to you

Genuinely curious, how many of us find the term "grocery getter" offensive when used to describe our 5th gen rams. If you haven't heard the phrase, it's used to describe a truck that does only light passenger duty chores; driving back and forth to work, pick up kids from school, getting...

Do I need a sway bar?

Need implies "binary". You either need something, or you don't. You need something like water to survive, you don't need a TV to survive. Sway bars are enhancements. One can benefit from it, without having to "need" it. We are all different, with different comfort levels, different skills...

    Active Grill Shutter Removal

It's completely arbitrary. When I see 250+ towing, that's too hot for me. It doesn't matter if you feel the truck is fine at 225 when I'm concerned about it being at 250. You're focusing on 225 and suggesting AGS is not needed, I'm focusing on 250 and saying "that's too hot for me". And I'm...

Do I need a sway bar?

You're welcome to your opinion, but as somebody who has done the hellwig sway bar upgrade I'm going to tell you you're wrong. It makes a difference unloaded, and it makes a difference loaded. I haven't done a trailer swaybar, but my WDH does have anti sway built in (Anderson no sway). All of...

    Active Grill Shutter Removal

You're inserting an arbitrary value like 225 and suggesting that AGS delete is unessecsary. That's false logic, you don't know why people are removing AGS, I implied my reasons (towing and excessive heat). If your truck doesn't see those temps, because you just daily drive it or keep it in the...

Do I need a sway bar?

"Need" is the wrong word. You don't need a half ton for that trailer, a mid size would pull it. Equipment can be used to enhance towing experience, nothing wrong with looking for a more stable tow.

    RPM

Lugging is hard on any engine, turbos or NA makes no difference. High load at low rpms are bearing killers. This is why I tow above 2000 RPMs on the freeway even though my truck would often upshift another gear if I let it. But if the hurricane can't handle 1600 rpms at 55 mph and feathering...
