The CDRJ dealership 2 miles from me offers lifetime loaners for any new vehicle stock you buy off their lot. Unfortunately they are one of the worst dealership in the area for customer service. They are on the third owner now since it was built a little over 10 years ago.
With that kind of deal...
I recently bought a used car (Cooper) from a local Honda dealership. I bought it as-is and in less than 100 miles (4 days later) the check engine light came in. I took it back to the used car sales manager and told him about the issue. I told him I understand that I bought it as-is but I paid a...
I had a vehicle health report show up recently that told me my truck required immediate attention.
During the last rain I still had my old and worn tires. They did great in the dry but in the wet there was a lot of traction (and some stability) control activation. Shortly after that I got the...
I lost some MPGs with my new tires. Same tires just new ones. The new ones are stickier than the old (almost) bald ones and the truck struggles to get into MDS at cruising speed compared to a month ago with the lower rolling resistance of the older/harder tires where it would kick on a lot of...
As mikeru82 said, many dealerships do not give out loaners for basic warranty work. The dealership setting you up with alternate wheels seems to be more the exception than the rule from what I've read/heard. I have a Big Horn so I'm not high on the premium/luxury list so my dealership would give...
It's always in my pocket.
If I was going to put it somewhere I would probably put it in the foam water/sports bottle insert in the driver's door. I never use it.
It was very hard to find an Off-Road Package truck with leather seats.
I forgot about the passenger's seat. My wife was not happy that she couldn't raise the passenger's seat (she's 5'4") but didn't think it was worth $9K ;).
I have read of people putting a small universal amp/sub/box from Kicker behind their seats.
The space behind the rear bench seats is for the factory sub on one side and the eTorque battery on the other. If you don't have one (or either) then you have room behind the rear seat as well.
Call SiriusXM and cancel all your services for that radio number.
The SXM button will still be there on your touch screen but no services will be active so no stations will play.
Take a drive in a similar-ish Laramie and pick the one you like best.
My BH is well into Laramie territory price-wise (MSRP of $54K) but it was the truck I wanted (feel and price).
Did I want a Laramie? Sure. Was I willing to pay an extra $4K to get some of those "extra" features that I...
17" wheels will not fit on the 5th gen. They won't allow enough clearance for the brake caliper.
Aftermarket 18" wheels are a hit and miss as well. If you go that route make sure they fit before you purchase them.
Obviously a bit off-topic but wanted to throw that out there for anyone that...
You gotta appreciate the little things. (y)
I asked for a $15 roll of EPDM gasket material to fix the seal on my tri-fold. My wife gave it to me as a stocking stuffer for Christmas and my kids looked at me like I was crazy for getting so excited over a roll of foam.
If only they knew the joys...
They were. Everyone got 2 foam inserts and you got a year of SiriusXM for free but we didn't have heated and power-folding tow mirrors to many chagrins (compared to the 4th gen).
Now the 1500 has the neato tow mirrors but only 6 months free for SiriusXM. That's why it's important to pay...
