Good Eye. the Higher Torque spec that were sent along with the packages are the correct value. The online instructions have been updated to the current revision now :)
Really Like this Idea. Nice work on a clean install. One note - looks like you rotated the sensors 90 degrees from factory - thats maybe why you ran into the slight fitment issue. If you're not getting any false positives then the're fine to leave that way ( on the older gens you couldnt do this...
Yeah it will interfere - here's a pic of it mounted without the bumper on.
Now I have to ask - was that plow mount designed for that truck or was it modified to fit. It looks like the later
Right on! You could even go ahead and clock the winch and mount the control pack. For the control pack - I'd mount it on the side opposite the clutch lever - I've never had luck with thier brackets that mount in the middle. Keen to see it in action!
I created an official thread for this kit since its not limited to just the Rebel. Stoked to see these installed on your trucks. This would be a great place to post up pics, tips and tricks you come across while installing. I want to see these in action. Everyone should subscribe and post in the...
Figured I'd make an Official Thread for our Integrated Winch Mount Kit for the 5th Gen 1500's. In my opinion one of the most functional upgrades you can bolt on your RAM truck. Be prepared whenever and wherever you are.
Building on what I learned designing our very popular 4th Gen Rebel Winch...
You can get the bumper off with them on but Its tough to re-install the bumper with the panels on. Taking them off takes longer but its much easier to get the bumper back on. Might be possible, but we removed them so we didn't scratch them up. We actually had a truck in here the other day that...

Less than 1/4" of sag on this truck. RAM 1500 DT Sport with Parking Sensors and Air Dam. Smittybilt X20 Winch with Clutch Relocation Kit. Aftermarket Fairlead to keep that Factory black look. Most of the parts are ready. Waiting on custom boxes and plating for the clutch relocation kits. Almost...
Good to see the winches stacking up!
Parts for these kits are also starting to go on the shelves here :) Just received all the X20 machined clutch parts and sending them off to zinc electroplating today.
Also Warn is releasing a new winch this month that is set to replace the VR-10 and...
Sorry gents - havn't checked the messages in a bit - were full out at the shop so we can get all your orders built and shipped!
Glad you dig our work shirts. Other local fab shop employees want them too ahah! Ill bought these shirts on clearout and had them embroydered and printed. Ill see if...
The 2018 and 2019 frame are substancially different. I dont know how the new ones mount. Have a look on our website product page for the installation instructions and maybe you can see if they'll interfere from the picture
The VR 10s and 12s are also nice winches. They come prespooled with line, and the clutch actuator turns a little bit smoother when compared to the smitty. They have a waterproof and dust protection rating of IP67, while the smittybilt housing is rated more waterproof at IP68.
bang for buck I recommend the Smittybilt X20 Comp in either the 10,000 lb or 12,000 lb size. Most opt for the 12,000 lb version - it has a bit more power. General rule of thumb is 2.5 x vehicle weight. Of course with a snatch block you can get away with a smaller winch. This winch comes with a...
