Installed the infotainment stop/start disable device. Haven’t driven it yet but looking forward to not hitting the button every day.
Why? I feel like the truck is slower to accelerate from a stop with the stop/start on and engaged. May be entirely placebo but it accelerates better just running...
I didn’t replace anything. Ill end up having the dealership do it under my warranty at some point. It doesn’t seem hard to replace after having it apart, but i wasnt able to dial in on the exact component that was failing…so either I replace all of the pieces or i run the risk of having to...
Yep, unfortunately it did. And i also noticed the same…that opening from the inside it works fine. The child lock just builds the habbit for my youngest to get in/out the other side. I actually haven’t checked if its working in a couple weeks..im hoping to keep it out of my mind until the spring...
I sincerely hope this works for you. I did basically exactly what you did and my handle froze a couple weeks ago with cold weather. fortunately it worked fine after thawing (🤷♂️) and now i just child safety locked that side and have my kids both get in from the drivers side.
At that age/mileage id look for excessive rust on the undercarriage and suspension components. It certainly wont be clean but if its already flaking and falling apart then its just a problem youll have to address sooner.
FWIW id avoid anything electronic with locks…eventually the battery will die and murphy will be sure it happens when its least convenient. A traditional key or 3 number combo lock will probably serve you best.
When i had my Gladiator i struggled for a long time before putting mug flaps on it because they just stuck out like a sore thumb…thankfully the flaps look great on full size trucks.
I flirt with the idea of the banks device often…i just cant get past that ive read elsewhere it will void a warranty REAL fast…not exactly something im willing to risk at the moment.
Apparently im out of practice lubing things cause mine “froze” again yesterday when it was 14d 🤦♂️ thankfully this time I recognize the handle was hard to pull and just left it shut. i had my kids both get in the drivers side rear and left the door alone for now. PITA
I wonder if its a bad...
Agreed to be careful with carfax..but im in the camp where its helped me often. Im fastidious about keeping my vehicles up to date on it, and my dealership does as well. Ive used it as a bargaining chip to get higher trade values nearly every vehicle ive traded for years. Just like any other...
How are these still treating ya? Im looking at 2500s but i may nit be able to get one unless the perfect deal materializes. So im wondering if the xhds and adding 1/2in to the front will scratch my itch. The reason for the 1/2in lift up front would be to offset the added lift in the rear since...
