Watch the oil pressure gauge when going into the upper rpm range it will be much higher in the 50 psi range.

It resembles the RHO airbox except it has a air intake tube in the front where the RHO doesn't.

Exhaust Options for Hurricane 3.0 SST

Another option is the 3.0L G/T Passive Cold End exhaust it was a great option for the 5.7. There are a few 2025 G/T's showing up at dealers now but I have not heard how they sound yet.

Ram Hurricane's Real MPG info needed

After 4,400 miles my lowest mileage was 16.4 the highest was 19.5 overall being 17.7 mpg hand calculated. I have a Rebel that has 3.92 gears and 33" A/T tires so it's not mpg friendly. The 3.0L runs stronger and gets better mileage than my 2023 Laramie with 5.7L , 3.92s with 22" rims.

    2025 Hurricane Maintenance Items

So far I've done 2 oil changes and it's much easier than the HEMI. I'm using 5W-30 oil like the 2.0L Hurricane uses.

Any advantage to using premium fuel

I know the owners manual says 87 is fine but Direct Connection says premium for the 420HP S/O Hurricane.

    3.0 HO as an OPTION

The 3.0 H/O would be a great option to have in the lower trims so would the 485HP 392 Scat Pack Hemi. They miss so many opportunities.

    3.0L S/O vs 5.7 Hemi Dyno Video

The Hemi had 17.4% parasitic loss seems high and the Hurricane had 11.1% which seems low.

Any advantage to using premium fuel

You can run 87 but if you like to get the most performance from the SO with 22 psi of boost then run premium. I've had a Challenger Scat Pack and the 392 Hemi used 93 octane so it's no big deal to me.

    Current MPG on 2025 i6 3.0 s/o models???

I've been using 93 octane from the start with combined mileage lately being 16.2 mpg hand calculated although the computer was spot on. The mileage dropped with Winter blend fuel that switched on 9/15/24 with Summer blend I got 17.4 mpg.

Any advantage to using premium fuel

It does give it more timing when running premium.

    Brake stands don't work!

I've gotten this message too "Performance may be limited. Press one pedal at a time" . It's always when doing low speed turns making a turn at a intersection. I guess both the brake and accelerator must have been pressed at the same time...seems odd.

Cold start and light acceleration surging engine, or loping. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine maybe twice early on during startup would surge. It hasn't done that since and I'm at 3,700 miles.
