I just made my 4th payment yesterday. I've managed to get roughly 600 miles out of my truck myself, the rest of the roughly 1000 miles it has on it were put on it by the dealer service department trying to diagnose the cause of the endless misfires and misfire codes. That's slightly over $6.47...
I haven't had a minute's trouble out of my truck. Of course, I'm talking about my '97 diesel 2500 with 338,000 miles on it. The 2025 ram 1500, it's still in the shop.
The latest pcm flash that I know of seems to be primarily aimed at preventing the cel from coming on no matter how bad the misfiring. This allows people in states with inspections that fail you for having codes stored to pass. It's an end run around the problem, probably buying them more time...
Yeah no. I'm not jumping into another likely nightmare. Widespread as the problems are, there's no reason to assume I'd get a decent one. I may just keep on pimpin in my '96 blazer for a while once this is gone.
Keep in mind, you needn't accept their decision if you don't agree with it. Pursuing a voluntary buyback in no way prevents you from exercising your rights under your state's lemon law.
I also suspect that the barriers they set up for voluntary buyback will be very very high. Ram has a widespread very serious problem with these 2025's and they know it. Stellantis is apparently bleeding cash to the extent they've publicly discussed killing off one or more of their brands. I...
Good luck. I was not able to get even the slightest effort from ram customer care to call me back. I gave up on them, it dawned on me that failing to call back 2 out of 2 times, while having also failed to reach out to the dealership where the truck is, likely represents willful failure and...
Sure, people win all the time. As long as your truck has been to the shop enough times for the same problem to qualify for your state's lemon law, OR has spent enough days in the shop for that problem, you'll almost certainly prevail. The lawyer won't charge you anything, they'll get paid when...
Use the magic google machine. Google "lemon law attorney in xxxxx" and hit enter. Start filling out basic contact information on the sites that appear in the results. xxxxx is whatever your state is. Or, google your state's attorney general office and see whether they have a list of...
I'll address this and what you sent me in a pm here. Expect to be on hold upwards of 30 minutes each time you call. In my experience, despite what they say, THEY WILL NOT EVER CALL YOU. Give up hope on that. As for the star case, my dealer started one when they were first unable to figure...
It probably will. One thing I've read is that you should not mention lawyers when talking to these folks, that they will close the case if you do. I have not contacted an attorney myself yet, I'm still hoping they'll handle things less formally than that.
Good luck. I have called and spoken to ram customer care twice. Both times I was told I'd be called back in a specific time frame. Neither time did I ever hear from anyone. I'm trying to be reasonable and get them to voluntarily buy it back, but they're working hard to screw up, apparently...
Mine's back in the shop. Last time it was there I got what I think was the latest pcm flash. Service guy said it doesn't say it's to remedy any specific problem, but he thinks they probably did slide some stuff in there. My truck did the same thing it always does, severe bucking/jerking and...
I stopped by the dealership that has my truck and talked to the service manager. He has been driving my truck around some here and there trying to get it to mess up. Last time he did, which I think was this morning, the check engine light came on and code 0302 got stored. He had whatever...
