Yeah I did a 22-in Dynomax which is essentially the same thing and it is absolutely perfect. Sounds almost stock at idle and at low cruising as you say but really barks when you get on it. Zero drone. First aftermarket exhaust I have ever had in my life that literally has zero drone. Love it.
Mine has an area the size of a Frisbee where the clear coat is very cloudy on the driver door and another on the front fender. I haven't complained to the dealer because I don't want a partial aftermarket paint job on a new truck.
Bingo.
Oil starvation kills engine NOW. Nothing on his list will, with the possible exception of oil pressure IF it goes to zero.
I want an oil dipstick.
My wife just bought a 2024 MINI Cooper Countryman. It doesn't have an oil dipstick. You've got to use the infotainment screen to check oil level. The Hurricane I-6 is the same way. I'm old fashioned. It would drive my OCD crazy not being able to physically SEE the oil level in my engine...
I agree, and I think that would be the best approach. But, the parent company of Ram doesn't appear to agree. I look at the Jeep Wrangler and I see a turbo-4, V6, V8, and turbo diesel. And then I think holy cow...the Ram 1500 doesn't even have that level of option. They have sold a ton of...
If a U-joint on the driveshaft has failed, there will be a lot of slop between the pieces at the joint. You can grab the shaft and forcefully push it back and forth and you'll see looseness and play in the joint. Some trucks also have a center bearing and 2-piece shaft and that center bearing...
So 2025 gets the Hurricane I-6, keeps the 8HP75 trans, adds a few updates to infotainment, mirrors, trim, etc. Big question is will they use the Pentastar as the base engine, or the Hemi? Or will they keep both and Hurricane is an option on Laramie and above? I think that'll be the next big...
So the 5th gen trucks are 6 bolt hubs, I guess a guy could just swap the existing axle shafts into the 4th gen axle assembly and it would all match up?
That's because the lighter duty models (Durango, Gladiator, Wrangler, etc) are programmed to automatically switch into a towing program when weight is detected. This was stated directly by engineers in videos when the new models debuted a few years back.
If Tow/Haul mode weren't beneficial, it...
Yeah I'm super happy with mine. I have 35" tires and a 2" lift and we went on vacay last week with the family in the cab and the entire bed completely full of gear and I got 19.8 MPG coming home and 20.2 going to the destination.
Without even realizing how bad things were going to go downhill, I brought home a '22 at the very end of production. I got the fender flares, non-hybrid Hemi, and a few other goodies that we had no idea were going to disappear. Sometimes I think I should keep this truck forever, because it's...
Since the Auto selection allows more slippage at the center differential, it in turn builds heat even faster, which can lead to overheating even faster. I assume some guys try 4-high in an attempt to keep things locked up in the center diff and keep temps down. On snowy roads either is fine...
I suppose a guy could wrap them in that fancy exhaust heat wrap prior to bolting them on. There are two schools of thought on that though...some folks think the wrap holds moisture and that's bad.
Is anyone else here surprised that these videos of people with pro-America and/or conservative views are allowed to stay online? I mean, the fact that we can watch George Carlin rat them out, just as one example of thousands....how is that still online for all to watch? I'm shocked the...
Or, maybe they ride like s*** because it's an objective fact that Bilstein designs their shocks to be more firm and the stroke is different. Yeah, yeah that's probably more like it.
I've done everything from full blown lift kits to Bilstein levels to spacer kits on probably 20 or 30 rigs from...
