What ga power wire you running? I ran 4 ga and was able to lay it in those channels. Ran the RCAs down the passenger side in the same channel. All in took about 90 min. I read a couple others ran the power underneath the cab. Might be the easiest on this truck but you'd want to add some...
If I'm on an open highway with no wind, I'll be around 18ish @ 65-70. I have 2" lift, AT tires, and 3.92. So that's about what I'd expect. Been averaging 15.4 all around over 3500 miles. That's with crappy in town driving being 50% or more.
That I don't mind at all! If it's for a passenger. What's even better though is an iPad,kindle, etc and a set of headphones. Then you don't have listen to annoying *** Elmo songs all the way to Grandma's house!
Are you planning to just park in the lot and watch?
With as many distractions as we have in our lives I really have a hard time getting behind this if people are watching movies while driving.
depin the mics on the harness under the seat. There are a lot of discussions on this forum talking about this.
Try searching for deactivate ANC or depin ANC. I think that should get you to a bunch.
I don't have a write up but the details of what I have are in my signature. Using the PAC Amppro for the signal. Unplugged factory sub! No need to have it if you are running aftermarket.
Only thing I can think of that would be nice is for ANC, but I don't think there is a way to do it without...
Yeah it actually turned out better than I thought it was going to. Just take your time. If you're good with a saw and plan, it's not too bad. Start with the base first, then build it vertically. Once you have the footprint you can take the rest in pieces. There's some tricky angles and I wasn't...
Like 2 x10" subs! :). Pretty dang good considering. Like all 10s, they lack a little on the really low stuff (20-30hz), but overall it's an amazing upgrade from the stock system.
Fox accoustics makes a prefab dual 10" box. It's a decent design. Just Google it.
I made one, but had space requirements to fit in the factory underseat storage system. This severely limits your available volume and the only subs I could find that worked were the JL 10TW1.
I got them off. There is adhesive on the back side and it's very sticky. Just heat it up quite a bit with a heat gun or blow dryer and use a plastic trim tool to slowly pry it off. You'll bugger the adhesive (or at least I did) and need to remove it and replace with some 3m mounting tape off you...
Yeah I'd have to think the ANC escalation claim is bogus as well. Increased damping materials... Maybe.
Are you having problems with the ANC acting up as well?
Just repin them as necessary. I personally matched up the speakers to how the factory ones were wired.
I took each speaker out, noted which factory wire hooked to each terminal on the factory speaker, then tested the speaker with a battery to correctly identify which terminal was the positive...
