    Cabin air filter soaking

I am not sure. On older vehicles I'm familiar with they are small holes that allow water to drain away on the inside of the fender. On DTs you might need to remove the cowl (windscreen) cover to see where they are. I looked at the service manual but could not find a reference to a cowl drain...

    Cabin air filter soaking

There are water drains, usually one on each side of the cowl under the windscreen. I would first suspect they are both clogged allowing water to overflow the inlet opening of the HVAC housing. Really considering trade in for 2022

Since you seem very happy with your current ride, I get the sense the motivation to trade is based solely on economics. To me the deal sounds good IF there was a truck on the dealer's lot that completely satisfied your requirements and they stuck to the deal. Ordering a truck could insert some...

    So what’s this noise?

One of my sons recently had a noise like that on his 2017 and it was sounding quite metallic to my ear. I was thinking lifter. Turned out to be broken exhaust studs. However, I've read a couple reports of cracked exhaust manifolds on 5th gen DTs, a problem not reported on 4th gens. Whatever the...

    Rear window surround crack.

...and what a difference a dealer makes! Glad you received the proper resolution to this issue. Rear window surround crack.

I haven't followed your thread on this, so I'm assuming this is under warranty. The factory service manual directs the windshield be removed as part of the headliner removal/installation procedure. However, I've witnessed a headliner removal on a Ram DT and the windshield was not removed at...

5th Generation misunderstanding into a trivia thread. When you know, you know

Correct! The Italian ocean liner SS Andrea Doria sunk on 25 July 1956 after colliding with the Swedish liner Stockholm off the coast of Nantucket. On board was a design model made in Italy for Chrysler, the Chrysler Norseman. Intended to be the 1957 show car, many design cues would later be...

5th Generation misunderstanding into a trivia thread. When you know, you know

Let's lighten this up. There is a rare, one-of-a-kind Mopar (unintentionally) at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It is not a Turbine car. What is it and how did it get there? Best regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33 gallon fuel...

    Harmon Kardon Audio Quality

Sound is a funny thing. People hear differently because of differences in the physical make-up of the ear and how the brain converts the sound. Many years ago I worked for a company called Heathkit as a technician. I worked on everything from fish spotters, TVs, radio transmitters, receivers...

    Rear window surround crack.

This isn't a confirmation, but to the best of my knowledge I don't believe I've heard of a 2021 with this issue. Our first glimpse of uConnect 5?

Do I see a small LED lamp next to the rear coat hook? Is that new? Regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33 gallon fuel tank, factory dual exhaust, 18” wheels. Build date: 03 June 2018. Now at: 052936 miles.

First Oil Change 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 5.7L

The PCM software is programmed to always give you the 500 mile "Change Oil" message before the odometer reaches 10,000 miles. But the odometer is not the primary source for triggering the message. The PCM has a message set driver called 'engrevcount' so it is counting engine revolutions. I can...

    Windshield Wipers suck.

My DT will be 36 months old next month and still sports the original blades. The truck sits outside 100% of its life so it's exposed to a lot of sun rays. The wiper blades just recently just started to streak. Regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75...

Broke truck...door panel, rattles, noise driving, tires shot after 39K. Lemon of a truck. Need to talk to RAM

It would be difficult to put into words. I would advise purchasing the DT service manual for your year vehicle in digital form from Mopar Tech Authority. Cold Air Intake

Not really. Just knowledgeable. Fuel & Induction was my certification at General Motors. Best regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33 gallon fuel tank, factory dual exhaust, 18” wheels. Build date: 03 June 2018. Now at: 052852 miles.

Broke truck...door panel, rattles, noise driving, tires shot after 39K. Lemon of a truck. Need to talk to RAM

Tend to agree with you. Techs work on flat rate. I don't, so I can use any level of patience required. I would caution the original poster on doing this themselves, The door panels on DTs require a sequence for removing the panel to avoid breaking the pins. There's also a screw used to hold the...

    Cold Air Intake

“CAI” stands for Cold Air Intake and the clue to their effect on a piston engine performance is really self-evident in the nomenclature. These systems were designed to capture denser air with the assumption that each cylinder would produce a higher charge pressure and hence, more power. A...

    Upper glove box door closure???

T There's a heat wave impacting most of the United States at the moment, so maybe that explains the somewhat less than understanding responses. Plus the fact that Ram owners are always on the defensive by Ford, GM, and Toyota owners for not buying what they own and stroking their fragile egos...

    Upper glove box door closure???

Good pics. Yours looks like it is adjusted properly (I say adjusted, but there isn't an adjustment per se). It may have been a fluke, as maybe a corner of the envelope was already under the door edge when you closed it(?). Best regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD...

    Upper glove box door closure???

I don't know. I believe you're the first to report this kind of issue. I have several loose papers and a couple of envelopes in my upper box, but have never had the incident you've had. Does the door appear to match the style lines when it is closed? Best regards, Dusty 2019 Ram 1500 Billet...
