Sway Bar Link Pins/Bushing upgrade for 2019-2022 Ram 1500

Sway bar bushings on my 2020 wore out in less than 2 years, I replaced them with prothane bushings and brackets and had the brackets bend within a couple months allowing the entire bushing to move around. Switched back to oem.

    GPS Over Air Play

No issues here with Google maps over CarPlay. GPS is always good even on long 16+ hour drives.

Parts shortage... When will it end?

I usually think of Canada as a third world country when it comes to getting things that go to the North American market, we are usually last and anything good is for a limited time only. I waited 4 months before contacting FCA Canada customer care, at first they could not provide an eta as...

    Current Uconnect 5 issues

I would happily provide logs or details to anyone at the Uconnect team if possible. Unfortunately I am in Canada and even tho my brother worked at and I personally know a few people working at the company/ call centre your team works from, you can only refer me to FCA Canada for assistance.

    Current Uconnect 5 issues

I wanted to start a new thread to try and figure out a couple of issues that are unresolved following the latest uConnect 5 update. These issue aren’t occurring as often I find but are still present. 1: wireless CarPlay disconnect caused by interference, After the last update I have only had...

    DashCam Parking mode battery

I have mine wired up using fuse taps to the interior fuse panel. No battery backup, using the power magic pro set at 12 hours and I think 12.4 or 12.5v whichever is the highest and haven’t had any issues with a dead truck battery. The camera power will shut off if the battery drops below the set...

    175/70r18 with snow chains

Only restrictions I can find are for 4-lo. I did find this while looking tho, never thought of not using tow/haul while towing. My issue last weekend wasn’t stopping or coasting, it was accelerating or even maintaining speed on hills while towing. Multiple times on the drive my rear wheels...

    175/70r18 with snow chains

Unless the bighorn has a different wheel offset I don’t think they would work. The rebel has 275/70r18 and the manual says it is not chainable. I don’t think it will hurt anything to be in 4hi for extended periods of time, but with being able to shift on the fly I’ve went hours at highway...

Window frame crack and possible solution.

Well known problem, if it was documented at a dealer prior to your warranty mileage running out I would contact ramcares and see if they can help. Many owners having their rear windows replaced due to this leak. The third brake light is also a very common leak, shark fin antenna not as much but...

    Tire chains

I was thinking wheel spacers would be an easy way to fix clearance issues, but now I think I’m going to move towards a set of studded winter tires for up north. I just returned from a cold and icy trip towing a trailer and had some pretty sketchy moments on the drive. The temperatures are so...

Does hitch type affect towing capacity

I’m not sure what HD towing numbers are, but yes there will be a different tongue weight capacity for weight distribution and standard bumper pull trailers. The HD forums will probably be more help as most users here are 1500 owners.

Parts shortage... When will it end?

Forgot to update this thread, after contacting FCA Canada customer care they located the part and had it at my local dealer within 3 business days. Truck has since been repaired and is issue free.

    Squeak/chirp going over bumps

Unfortunately the aftermarket bushings I installed did not hold up, the brackets they included bent allowing the bushing to move around. Oem is still the best option.

    Tire chains

I to would think the only possible issue would be clearance and the rebel should have plenty. Either way I will be getting chains for emergency use only as northern Ontario doesn’t joke around with winter.

Oil Change: Its Wrong or its Right period. 5th Gen.

The cartridge filters on modern vehicles can be a pain. It doesn’t help that everything is made out of plastic nowadays either. I’ve always made sure to lube both the inner and out o-rings on my filter and tighten until the filter bottoms out and then stop. Between my 2020 and 2022 I’ve done...

    Recall: Tailgates coming open

I just let my buddies close my tailgate and it’s never an issue as they all slam my doors shut like it’s an old rust bucket with bad latches. Also removed the running board on that side as they never use it anyways, just slide off the side of the seat. 😡

    Random Hesitation

I know for sure my problem wasn’t turbo related as engine rpm will increase either way when throttle input is sent to the engine from the pcm, power might be lacking but some sort of rpm increase would still be present. I’d assume it’s something emissions related and I’ve always thought maybe...

    Random Hesitation

This was a big issue on my 2020, not so much on the 2022. Has only happened a couple of times that I can remember, always after a warm start.

    UConnect 26.15 Update Thread

I thought it was 26.15 that wasn’t supposed to have been released? 26.17 was released shortly after the 26.15 file was put online unofficially.

    Fluid Film DIY Kit

I spray my truck with fluid film using a hand pump garden sprayer that I extended the wand hose on. I don’t think it sticks as well as the commercial oil guard or krown, but it seems to help out some. I also had my truck coated at the dealer before I picked it up with an anti rust coating which...
