What brand and model number did you install?
I took my cheap LEDs out and reinstalled the original incandescent bulbs that were in from the factory. I have not had the "key fob not detected" error since. It's been a week now.
I did purchase a Diode Dynamics HP5 to try but haven't installed it...
Thanks for all the helpful advise. I had the engine oil changed back in June. If the dealer really did change it, (there was no sticker) I would think that any spilled oil would have subsided by now. The oil is very thin and clear so at least it doesn't look like it is coming from out of the...
You guys on this thread appear very knowledgeable about these trucks.
My 2019 Longhorn with only 3,000 miles on it has developed a leak. I found it by noticing oil drops on my driveway. I looked underneath the truck and found a very clear thin oil dripping off of the first skid plate (I have...
That's all I can see at the moment as well. I tried using an endoscope, but I couldn't get it oriented well so that the image would display on my phone screen.
I wish I could find an undercarriage photo or diagram of the truck so I could see what all is oil bearing in that area.
Of course...
So I made an appointment at the dealer to have this oil leak checked out. They are taking the truck in on the 26th.
In the meantime, I checked the engine oil which is full and dirty. It's not the same color as the oil that I'm seeing dripping off of the skid plate.
What else is in this area...
T
True, but there is only about 1,200 miles on the oil. I'm just going to make another appointment and get it to the dealer. I guess I'll park it until they can look at it.
Yeah, have to do some investigating. Oil was changed back in June so drips should be gone by now if any was spilled. Possibly drain plug is coming loose. Just noticed drips tonight. I'm hoping not an engine problem.
This truck is a real lemon. The dealer has over $15,000 in parts into it...
The truck only has about 3,400 miles on it. I had the dealer change engine oil at around 2,200 miles. So the light color would make sense if the leak is indeed engine oil.
I would guess that transfer case oil or front differential oil would be darker.
I would have never known if there were...
Just saw spots on my driveway this evening when I got home from work.
I crawled under the truck to see if I could find any wet spots and sure enough there is evidence of something leaking and running off of one of the skid plates.
I'm a little too old to crawl the entire way under to get a...
From going through this myself, the clips usually do not squeak. They click, tick and rattle.
I would start by trying the felt flocking tape. The dealer did a few of mine early on, but the issue came back. They used the Mopar flocking tape which was very thin. I bought 4mm thick flocking tape...
It should stop the rattle. That's caused by loose Velcro retainers. The squeak may be the headliner rubbing on something. Could even be the center overhead console. Try to locate the exact position of the squeak and try some foam in that area as someone else said.
I thought they would have...
For the headliner use felt flocking tape. Place the tape between every black hard plastic Velcro hook and its retainer. I used 4mm thick felt tape. It holds the fasteners in their retainers and keeps them from clicking...
Does anybody know how to remove the center console armrest? Mine has quite a loud squeak on the passenger seat side whenever a passenger rests their arm on it.
Thanks
Excellent write up!
I have a question: Since the RFH continually scans all of the LF antenna units, would the RFH know if one of its antennas were misding or not connected and store an error code?
You and I spoke on another thread about LEDs causing key fob interference. I am encountering...
