I’ll give the connector a look and give them a gentle push to make sure it’s connected fully.
Truck is going in on Wednesday to the dealer so hopefully I’ll have a successful outcome and solution to share.
I used alfaobd to disable the telematics module in addition to physically taking it out. Haven’t got any errors on the uconnect screen so I don’t think it’s looking for it anymore.
I’ll have to look into using the site and saving all the relevant pages.
If the dealer comes up empty handed again I’ll consider putting the module back in.
I took the negative off once before for maybe 30 mins to install the factory brake controller with no issues reconnecting but to take the telematics out it was probably 2.5 hours from start to finish. My train...
I did a factory reset on the radio and after a couple cycles everything came back. It’s been a week and it’s all still there. GPS/Sirius still works. Even got the trailer tow page now as a bonus. The trailer light check soft key doesn’t work on that page but works through the cluster. Thanks...
Thank you for the pinouts! Is there a certain voltage I should be looking for on the fault sense circuit?
Also thanks for the info on the location for the harness. Where did you find the diagrams?
Took it into the dealer today and they didn’t have enough time to trace the short in the wiring. Bringing it in next week to leave with them for a day. Said it was the fault sense circuit though.
That being said, does anyone know where the fault sense wires are in the taillight...
I went out this morning to see if it magically fixed itself overnight and the message pops up immediately without turning the truck on now. Before it was just brake applications with the turns on and now it’s whenever the truck is on. Slow flash outside still and can’t see any LED’s out but...
I tried swapping the third brake light bulb and it didn’t fix it. Got alfaobd out with my scanner and I’m getting two faults. B1642 and B1646 (Short circuit to + battery/open circuit) for which I’m assuming that’s left and right rear taillights.
Been searching for this topic for a couple days and didn’t see a relevant thread to my situation so I’m putting it out there for the Ram guru’s to lend a helpful hand. 2022 Ram Sport with factory LED tails. Truck is still under warranty (30,000 km) but last time I went in for an annoying...
Thanks for the write up on this! I got annoyed my pages disappeared and couldn’t figure out why and saw this thread. I deactivated the off-road/performance pages and disabled the telematic module on alfaobd before I took the negative off the battery. I removed the box yesterday and put the...
Alright I can understand it better now. Hard pill to swallow when turning the heated steering wheel and seats on/off is a soft key on the screen and lanesense is a physical button. Just out of reach for this guy. Thanks for the clarification on the train of thought too.
Yea I have everything else needed for it, 22 Ram Sport, turned on lanesense and it’s in the cluster menu as well as the sensitivity settings on the 12” screen. Just like everyone else has experienced, it says “lanesense off” because of the damn physical button and it bugs me that’s the only...
Long time lurker, just joined. Reading through all the posts on this thread and I appreciate all the hard work and trial and error that gave everyone answers and solutions to various questions/curiosities.
My wife was saying she wished she had lane keep assist (Hyundai’s Lanesense) on the Ram...
