Would love to hear when anyone has success getting their dealer to update their UConnect system to 19.33.11
The bluetooth dropping calls is unnaccpetable and frankly dangerous.
Just got my truck back after a month waiting for new Ramboxes. Yes, a month. Service center told me they ordered four sets of Ramboxes until a set came in that wasn't warped or would fit correctly.
They look fine, I guess. Not great to be honest, and it's really turned me off of this...
I guess 18.45.40 is the "latest and greatest"? I thought there was an update coming out, but I got my truck back after a month at the dealer and that's the version of software on it. :|
You guys make me grateful to live in Texas. We have a tee time tomorrow afternoon, it should be sunny and about 68 outside. ;) I'll put my truck into 4x4 on the way to the course in solidarity with you northern brethren.
Tons of threads on this very issue. It's well-known, and has yet to be addressed by Ram/FCA/Anyone. Easiest "fix" when it happens is to transfer the call to your phone, then back to the truck and the caller should be able to hear you again.
I got a change to see what the replacement parts look like. Basically it's just the lids--an "L" shaped piece of plastic that has the top with the "RAMBOX" lettering on it and the side panel where the button and lock is. The lock hardware and painted side panel are not included, so they will...
I've got my pics posted in the other Rambox thread, and they're just as bad as yours. My dealer ordered replacements, but if they are the same I don't see how that will fix anything long term. The look bugs me. It's cheap and shoddy for a $60k vehicle.
Double & Triple check that the connection between device and the truck is completely tight. I first had issue getting the sliding plastic bracket to fit completely on the sprint booster device. It has to slide all the way to make the full connection.
Ramboxes warped and look like crap--Dealer is supposedly fixing this
Uconnect is very buggy with multiple documented issues: mic drop issue, screen blacks out, GPS loses location, SirusXM plays over Bluetooth audio
Gas mileage a bit lower than promised, I get 15-ish in mixed driving
Minor...
That looks great, and bums me out a little. From your picture, it looks like the gold panels on the side are one piece with the entire face, and cannot be removed independently?
So a tint shop is where i need to ask about getting something like this done? I hate the gold look they chose
Nope. You need SBDO1053S like mentioned above. That's the same one they sent me (incorrectly) the first time. They should swap it out easily enough for you.
Update to my support case with Bak. They sent out a new set of rails, and unfortunately they are cut the exact same way my original set was cut. It looks like they are cutting about 2" of material at the end of the rail, when they really only need to cut about an inch. That leaves the "gap"...
This thread had me all worried, until I remembered today that I never reset my trip B from the day I got it. Yes, they are in perfect sync to the 1/10th
Thanks for finding that link. Unfortunately those pics don't show the gap at the front of the bed. Bak is telling me that a "minimal" gap is normal on trucks with Ramboxes, but my gap is several inches. It really looks like they just cut the angle piece too short so it doesn't mate up with...
Thanks for posting. I opened a case with Bak's technical support today and asked them if that was considered "normal" or within spec and sent that same exact picture. I'll post back any updates.
Interesting, I got the 82215289AF directly from Mopar in July. It’s very heavy and rugged but I didn’t pay much attention to how the attachment points were manufactured.
It doesn’t seem like this model is part of the recall
