The trial plan is active when your truck leaves the dealer. There is nothing you need to do to make it work, but it expires after... 6mo I think.

This doesn't make any sense. How would the truck update if you don't have an active data plan? I would expect those that are getting the updates have an active data plan--even if it's the free trial that comes with the truck purchase. Those of us that have not renewed the plans I think...

I'm just now learning about this, so I went out to the truck tonight and was actually surprised that I don't have the dreaded crack. Guess I'll chalk that up to the one thing that's gone right with this truck and keep an eye on it going forward. Build date April/May 2019

Had my Ram since about May 2019. Picked it up from the dealer after having some work done on the ramboxes (didn’t help) and now about a month later I notice oil spots on my driveway. I’ve never had this before, what could cause those and should I be concerned?

Doesn't fix it. Trucks that have 28.1 still have the bluetooth issue

My truck is also on 28.1 and still frequently has the bluetooth dropout (mic stops working) issue.

This is a well-known, and documented issue--just look around the forum here. Ram has not done anything to fix it yet, and it has gone on for longer than a year already
